So I decided to start a new diary as I kinda lost track of the other one. From the last time I posted here, which was a long time ago, a lot had happened. The reason I stopped was because I hit a major depression. It could be because of certain situations in my life but it got to the point where I was almost hospitalized. Luckily I had just a little flame inside of me left to keep going and I'm starting to get back on my feet. I'm taking an anti-depressant right now, it's been about 2-3weeks so haven't noticed anything yet. But during this time I started going for walks to get myself moving again, for a long time I would do nothing but just lay around not wanting to do anything.
Today was the first day I went back to my gym. I did a 30min cardio workout, hit the sauna and took a shower. I wanted to do a full hour of cardio but I'm not as strong as I used to be since its been a long time. During the workout I was thinking to myself that I felt better going to the gym when I had a workout plan and meal plan setup for the day. Right now I don't have that but this is why I'm coming back to this site. I'm going to use this to record my daily caloric intake and what I've been doing.
So lets get this diary going again
Here are some questions and answers.
1. What is your current height and weight?
My current height is 5foot 3inches and my weight is 222lbs
2. If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
Possibly 150lbs or 145lbs
3. At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
180lbs or 170lbs
4. Why do you want to lose weight?
Lots of reasons really. For one I want to be healthy. I have high blood pressure because of the extra fat in my body. Also I'm not physically capable of performing some tasks that I used to be able to do. And also to look good, help my confidence and be happy in my own body
5. Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event?
Sorta, once I loose the weight I want to join a martial arts class. I tried to do some kung fu last year but because of the amount of weight I have I was incapable of performing some of the exercises.
6. What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
I eat for the same reasons most people overeat. If I'm sad, depressed and can't control the cravings.
7. Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
Multiple reasons really. First I'll blame my parent for over feeding me. In my opinion if a child is obese it's not the child's fault but the parents for not being responsible for their kids health. But I'm 22 now and I can't use that excuse anymore, once we hit our teens or 20's we're are now responsible for what we eat. But back to the questions as wo why I think I have a weight problem now, the second reason is because of depression.
8. What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
Exercising and eating right.
9. Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
I have lost weight in the past and I wish I could go back to that time. It was in high school. I lost a lot of weight. It was because I reduced my calories, did some exercise and got proper rest.
10. Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back?
The time I lost the weight I didn't have that much stress. Once I'm stressed I don't really take care of what I eat or exercising.
11. What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?
Skipping meals. Slows down the metabolism and just makes you that much more hungry.
12. Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
Yes I will be doing this.
13. Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
I don't cook that often but that will have to change.
14. How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
I used to go out maybe 2 or 3 times a week out to eat at various restaurants.

16. What are your three favorite restaurants?

17. What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
Reduce the portion sizes.
Add veggies.
Monitor the calories.
18. If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
I would feel much more comfortable in my own body and be much more happier.

Yes

walking and today just started to go to the gym again.
28. Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home?
Home and the gym atm.
29. What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise?
Eliptical, walking, rowing.
30. What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals?
Once i hit my goal I'm going to buy a whole new wardrobe and go on a vacation down south to hit the beaches and show off my new body
31. Do you have rewards for certain goals?
Right now once I hit my goals I'm going to buy pants or shirts as a reward.
