Hello All!
I am new to this forum and am very excited to be able to communicate with other people who can understand my feelings as I am on this journey of mine.
I began dieting and exercising on July 1st, 2010 and I also am assisted by getting B12 shots to boost my energy level each week. I began my journey at 410 pounds! I was categorized as "morbidly obese" which breaks down to, "You're so big you're going to die!" It's a scary thing to hear and it's not like it happens overnight! I have been big ALL my life, and I mean ALL my life! I have never been a normal size or even remotely normal. I know that with my bone structure I will always be full figured as far as comparing me to other "normal" women.
Okay so enough blabbing...here's the facts:
June 1, 2010:
410 Pounds
BMI: 58% body fat! (that means over half of my body was made up of fat!)
As of today (12/8/10):
288 pounds
BMI: 40%
TOTAL LOST: 122 POUNDS!!!
Goal Weight: 199 pounds
Not to shabby for 6 months eh? Well beyond the statistics, I can't tell you how much my life has improved! Before I couldn't even wear my seat belt in my car because it wouldn't fit! I would lose my breath even walking up 2 steps! I would get light headed and red in the face by the simplest task! I haven't been on a roller coaster since I was in middle school. I couldn't fit in chairs or booths in public and was embarassed on MANY occasions when I had to leave the restraunt because I wouldn't fit.
My life has been an incredible journey so far and it is only getting better with every passing day because I am finding myself and I have to say...It's SO nice to finally meet me!!
