ouch!

Earlier today i tested on my squat max, i put on 330 and on my way down i had very bad form so on the way up i used a lot of my back and not my legs. ABout an hour later i had a very sore lower back like i pulled something. It still hurts alot now and imm kindof nervous about it because my friend just had to get back therapy because of squats. I satnd straight and touch my chin to my chest and i feel it on my back. I was wondering if this will heal naturally and if so how long. Thnx
 
it SOUNDS like a pulled muscle, but there's no 100% answer w/o seeing a doctor.. i'd give it 2 days, and if it doesn't feel better @ all, make an appointment.. good luck i hope nothing happened to your back, back problems are a pain in the back & the ass..
 
dam doctors, all they do is cost money. me personally, i would just let it heal without the doctor telling me to go somewhere to (which costs money) to spend even more money. well actually, me personally, worked through it like an idiot. and im fine. but dont do that. i know my body and its boundries.
 
I'd definitely get it checked out but I would go to a sports doctor over a GP.
I would also take it easy the next few days and ice the area as well as spend a fair amount of time on the couch or in bed resting it.
I have a bulging disk at the L4/L5 area that has given me hell in terms of rehab.Coming back from a low back injury can be quite a challenge and is nothing to overlook.Get it checked out.
