So this is my diary.
What's all this jeans business about?
I was spring cleaning, going through my clothes and realized that I had so many pairs of jeans that do not fit me. I refused to throw it away, in case I was able to fit in them one day.
Over the past few years, while shopping for clothes, I hated going to try jeans on in the dressing room. So I would just get a pair and just hoped it fit. When I brought them home and realized they didn't fit, instead of taking them back, I would just put them in my closet for a rainy-skinnier day.
Not only have I done this with pants, but with tops as well. I have a whole wardrobe waiting for me to be able to fit into it. Luckily, these are timeless clothes, so even if it takes me a couple of years to lose the weight, eventually I'll get there.
I have to admit that it is silly, but it's something that motivates me.
I have sizes from a 28 down to a 16.
My current weight is 319.4, I'm 5'6 & 29 years old. So considering all that, before I get any older, I think its time to nip this weight thing in the bud.
My Weight History
I've been overweight/obese my entire life. You know, it's that same story of losing weight and gaining it back.
One thing that I've learned about myself, about why I gain the weight back and I don't stick to anything, it's because I get bored & maybe a little bit subconsciously scared about who I will be if I do lose the weight.
So I'm going to try to keep myself entertained through this. Look at it as fun.
Even though I'm a big girl, I'm still really active, I think people are surprised to learn that about me. I always walk my dog about a mile every day, I'm always up and about. You will rarely find me at home sitting on the couch. I swear, if I weren't active I would be 500 lbs.
My weakness is too much snacking. Always has been. A few snacks too many here and a few snacks too many there for 29 years adds up to 319 lbs.
Lately, my knees are weak and I'm scared about my future health. It's time to do something.
First Goal
Get into my first pair of size 28 jeans. When I try to fit into them, they are super tight and don't fasten. So I figure I'll have to lose about 20-40 lbs (I have no idea) to be able to fit into them.
So I'm setting my first goal at 280.
Exercise & Diet
I figure I'll start off at about 1800 calories a day & exercise at least 30 minutes a day. I'll do aerobics or I'll add more walking time.
