One rep max question

Does doing a warm-up set help you in any way get a higher max as opposed to just stretching and then doing it raw?

If my bench is 200, and I am maxing, would doing 135 10x help warm my muscles up to where I can increase my max?
 
going in cold and doing a one-rep max says to me "OUCH"

prepare yourself not just with one warm-up set but with a few to get your body ready for that all-out set
 
When I 1RM, I have a whole process.. Here's how my last one went on bench..

135x10
225x6
275x3
315x1
365x1

I myself am not a big fan of stretching, I like to utilize the stretch of the muscle to help me in the lift (mostly for competitions and 1RM for my pride). But always warm up..
