One month progress - can you see the difference?

Okay I decided to take pics every month from the front and the side to track my weight loss. So far I have lost 8 lbs, I hope it's not water and that it's fat!!! I can see a small difference so far, enough to keep me motivated. The biggest challenge is that I suffer from post partum depression and nighttime eating syndrome, which is basically my body telling me I'm not hungry all day and RAVENOUS at night. I am trying really hard to work through it and to get more regular exercise, as well as being more careful about what I eat. Without further ado, here are my pictures:

Thanks for all your help and encouragement!

oh there is definately a difference : ) Chin, neck, the way the top wears for sure... way to go! keep up the good work

Yes, you can see it coming off. I can see it in your front views. your curves are changing. Keep it up!

Thanks! I'm so glad that I'm not imagining the difference. Hopefully it'll keep coming off steadily. I've been a bit careless with my diet for the last couple of days but I hope that won't set me back too much. I used to have a terrific body, then 2 kids and a desk job later... ugh. Once upon a time I was one of those lucky people who never had to watch what they ate so this is definitely taking a lot of will power, something I don't always have a lot of.

Thanks for the support!

hey your doing great! only one month in aswell.

Keep it up =D

Thanks! How long have you been into your weight loss? It looks like you are seeing amazing results! What are you doing?

And another question for anyone that cares to answer - notice the belly overhang? Do you think it's possible to ever have a flat tummy again without surgery, or will it turn into a sloppy, hanging, loose, mess? That is a huge fear of mine! I have been trying to find belly before and after photos but most of the women who show bellies on here either already have the "right shape" and just need to lose buldge or are covering that low area under the waistline of their pants so I can't tell LOL. I am losing slowly so I end up with the least amount of excess skin as possible.

Unfortunately insomnia accompanies night eating syndrome so I am up at 2:30am while the kids sleep soundly - and will be up at the crack of dawn!! ugh.

First, you can really see a difference in your pictures. Keep it up and you'll meet your goals in no time.

About the belly fat, near as I can tell everyone is different. Someone else on the forum may have a better answer, but it would appear that for most people their bellies flatten out over time. However, for others they feel they need to turn to surgery to remove excess hanging skin. Personally, I was very overweight at 305 and have serious stretchmarks on my belly, sides, arms and even shoulders, but everyday I look in the mirror and it appears the overhang is really starting to recede.

I was concerned at first because when I was down about 20 - 30 lbs (weighed myself today and I'm almost down 50 lbs), the overhang was more noticeable than when I was at 305. Anyway, it's going away now, so I'm hopeful that I can get a flat stomach myself, but like I said, everyone is different.

I cant say 100% either, but I would agree with JDhd on this one. Give your body time to fix itself. It may not be perfect like before the weight, but you should be able to be back to an acceptable appearance with working out. I am just now starting to get the "overhang" effect happening, but I am confident that I will get a six pack soon. ;)
