Goal Weight: 155.0 pounds

It's been a long time since I've been here so I decided to start a new journal. Just because I've been absent, does not mean I have not successfully continued my changed lifestyle, and I'm happy to report that I've lost nearly 90 pounds in the past year, which began a while after I joined the forum. The last time i was on this forum, I was still 260 pounds, so there's been quite a change! I will definitely be making a big before and after post, so keep your eyes peeled for a link! I've overcome many barriers, and continue to fight the battle against fat every day.

Instead of everyone asking me how I lost the weight, I'll be straight up about it. There's no secret, and fad diets do not work. I count my calories that I intake, and track my calories burned in outtake from my workouts. I workout at the gym 5-6 days per week for a minimum of one hour. I do both cardio AND weight training every day that I work out, and I've grown to love it. I'm almost in the 100's for the first time that I can even think of. The last time I was in the 100's I was too young to remember. Even as a young teenager at 16, I was close to 300 pounds. I am the lightest I have ever been since childhood, and am enjoying having my first boyfriend at an unusual 20 years old, and being confident in who I am. I learned that I had to love myself, accept myself, and make things in my life right before good things would come to me.

You have the power to change your own circumstances.

Hi Kari,

First off, welcome to the forum! From what I read, it looks like you dropped 88 pounds one year. That shows ASTOUNDING commitment and excellent progress! It sounds liek you know exactly what you and your body need to do. You're getting closer to your GW every week, so keep it up!

Hello Kari,

Welcome back to the Forum. :)

Great Work, you've done an excellent job!! :hurray:

I still have no clue as how to track the calories going out, haven't worked my way up to that part of it yet...actually just took a look at what my BMR is last night.

Congratulations on the Learning to Love yourself part!! That is a big one if not known how to accomplish...I am still working on this myself. ;)
Nothing unusual about having your first bf at 20. I myself was one, and I've known oodles of other's the same way. :)

Take Care :waving:

WEIGHED IN THIS MORNING!

198.6 pounds!

I feel incredible! I have never seen the 100's on the scale in all my life!
I never actually weighed myself until I was 16, and back then I was just touching 300 pounds.
This is the most amazing feeling in the world, and it has definitely given me an extra burst of
motivation to keep going strong!?

Awesome girl! You are amazing! Almost lost 100 pounds now... that will be your next goal, 8 more pounds and you have lost an even 100!

Have a wonderful weekend, Camy
