NSCA Certification- Study time?

I am planning on getting certified through NSCA as a personal trainer and wanted to know from other trainers out there how long they suggest I allow myself to study for the course. The give 2 months from the registration time to the exam but I don't know if that has anything to do with the time they estimate it takes to get through the material. I have my weekends free to study and one night during the week..

Thanks! :)

Take the free pretest on the site to see how well you do, that will determine how much you need to study (roughly speaking).

the nsca exams are some of the most difficult to pass. i am a cscs and i studied for several months. i did very well however.

in my opinion they are are hands down the best credentials a trainer can hold.

Thankss

Thanks guys- not sure why I'm not getting more feedback on this one!! I'm going to go for it anyway. I'm pretty knowledgable in the area and if I don't think I'm ready I can always postpone the exam. :)

It's prob because there aren't a lot of NSCA certified people on this forum. Daff, I would consider the CSCS exam to be quite a bit harder than the CPT.

The requirements will differ depending on which governing body you want to persue. Some require a bachelors degree while some require that you take tests for your certification.
