I have been using NO2 along with creatine and some protein. It seems ive been getting my reps finished with my sets. But how can you really tell which is helping you most ya know?
It's hard to say, and really if you wanted to find out, you'd use each one separately for a time. Of course, each of those products do very different things - but some of them have synergistic effects (e.g., NO2 will rush creatine/protein to the muscles, creatine allows for more muscular energy allowing for greater muscle failure meaning more protein usage for rebuilding, etc.).
As far as the effectiveness of NO2 supplements... Well, I *should* preface this again by pointing out for the 28397th time that I do sell supplements professionally. That said, we have a LARGE segment of customers who swear by NO2 supplements (NOXX, especially, our favorite brand) and buy regularly.
Given that, I also only recommend NO2 supplements after, say, Kre-Alkalyn (or any good creatine monohydrate), from which you're going to see more results in my opinion.
However, if you're serious, NO2 supplements are a good next step.

Final note: With most supplements, you're going to find things that work for you and things that don't. You're best served answering your questions by experimenting with them. Different bodies have different sensitivities and reactions, and what may work for your friends may not work for you, and vice-versa, of course.)
