Hello everyone!
I Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to the forum.
I am female mid 20's.
My current weight is 17st7lbs(i literally weighed myself before i registered),
It was a HUGE shock(excuse the pun :smilielol5:) as i was approx 15st about 6months ago, I have notice my knees feel like they are crumbling, I struggle to get comfortable as my body feels like its being crushed inside.

I wanted to join a forum as i need ongoing support, I find that i do really well with healthy eating and exercise and then after a couple of weeks, I'm back to square one.
I have consulted my GP in the past and he said i dont eat enough at regular times so I have made myself have breakfast today and ive had lunch and I plan to exercise later today.

I am from a family of slim people and feel there isnt anybody around me that really understands although they are very supportive but I just need that extra bit from somebody who is overweight or has lost the weight for motivation to keep trying.

I think i have just about wrote an essay oops :)
I look forward to reading any helpful tips on a healthy weight loss and hope I can also support you all.
Thanks for reading

Welcome. Its great here, really good for movitvation.

Something that is helping me at the moment is to really taste and chew your food. Before I used to just shovel it in and not really notice flavours. Now I am adding different flavours to my food like garlic, or herbs or chilli's, just a low fat something to give bland food a bit of a kick. Really noticing every mouthful makes me notice when I am full. I am terrible for shovelling my dinner down in anticipation of pudding. Now I savour dinner and only have fruit for pudding or occasionally a jelly. I've lost 10lbs this month so it is working :D

Hi Kramer thank you for the info and congrats on the weight loss.

I am feeling positive about losing weight,do you mind if i ask if you have been exercising?
It has been noted in the past that i do to much ie cutting out all "bad" foods and overdoing the exercise, and then I burn out after a couple of weeks and am back to square one.
I guess i feel i have to go OTT when i start but then I start to miss certain food.
I don't have a sweet tooth so i guess i should find this easier than most but some how I don't stick to it for long enough to get lasting results.
I am hoping that's about to change though.
Thanks again for the reply

Welcome to the forum Minimee. It only takes a small amount of overeating done regularly to put that kind of weight on. It just gradually creeps up on you. You're dead right to start eating at regular times. Good luck!
