Here's a little of my story...I used to think I was fat when I was a teenager, but I didn't know what fat really was until after I had kids. I would love to look the same as I did 15 years ago now.....But I gained 70+ pounds with each pregnancy, only lost about 30-40 after each and was/am miserable. It's so weird how you can look at yourself in a picture one day and say, WTF? What happened to me? Where is the real me? I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes, (which BOTH of my parents also have), and I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I am only 5'2". I've lost weight before with some success, but I always go back to my bad habits and gain it back. I finally quit smoking last year after being a pack a day smoker for 15 years. So weight loss is the next big step in getting myself healthy. I always come to this site because the people here are so nice and encouraging and I love reading everyone's stories. I think this is the best site on the web for real people dealing with weight loss. This time I started out a 180 pounds...I have already lost 15 pounds. My goal is to get between 130 and 140. I don't want to be a stick. I like to have some womanly curves and want to keep some boobs and butt thank you very much. :blush5:
I live in Japan and all women here are so small it would give any normal American woman a complex!

I hope that by losing weight my diabetes will be under control so much that I won't have the need for medicine anymore. I can't stand being dependent upon medication to live. Anyway, thanks to everyone who replies!

The first pic is me on Jan 2 and the second one is me yesterday Feb 13.
Can you see a difference?

:waving: Hi from :eh:
Yes, I can TOTALLY see a difference in your face! Great job so far! You are off to a really good start, and your goal is absolutely reasonable. YOU CAN DO THIS! I firmly believe that if you can kick the smoking habit, you can really do any dang thing you set your mind to, lady!

YOU GO, GIRL! :hurray:
Cheers & best wishes on your continued journey

I can tell a big difference in your face - thinner and younger looking. Stay strong and motivated.

I quit smoking a few years ago and have steadly gained weight since - I am working on losing those lbs. Quiting smoking and changing eating and exercise habits should go hand in hand.

All of our support- keep us updated.
