Hey all! My name is Greg. Im 33 from the mountains of NC. I grew up the chunky kid and continued to get bigger and bigger until 2003 when i decided to make a change. I was weighing in at 240 lbs at 6'3. I began a diet and exercise journey which brought me down to 155lbs but in march 05 it came to a halt. I was on my motorcycle when I decided to be stupid and do a wheelie. I was in SC where there is no helmet law and I had been drinking which is a combo for disaster. When i set the front tire back down it locked and i flipped. I came down face first into the street shortly before the back came down on top of me. I crushed the entire left side of my face and the rear footpeg went almost an inch into my brain. I broke both arms, my neck and who knows what else. I had a blood clot the size of my fist removed from my brain and my head was basically plated back together. When my family arrived I had been given a 30% chance of survival. The doc told everyone that even if I did live I'd have severe brain damage. Amazingly here i am today with no brain damage (matter of opinion lol) and healtly but along the way i gained back a great deal of my weight. today i weigh 230 and am ready for a fresh start. I look forward to getting to know everyone and will be posting progress pics as we go. Feel free to drop me a line!:seeya:

Thanks a bunch. Life has its ups and downs so I try to look at that at just another down. I still love motorcycles but am a bit more responsible these day lol.

Welcome, Greg. I'm glad you joined the contest. It should work as some good motivation to help you on your weight loss journey.

Anyway, this forum is pretty bad ass, so you should be a skinny hunk in no time. There's a lot of good advice and a lot of good people here to help.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Well Candy of course cause every one knows nothing is sweeter than Candy. (thats in my sexy voice)

Raw sugar is sweeter than candy, sooooo...:jump:

Thanks for the welcome guys! i"m really glad to see this forum is actually an active one! I look forward to getting to know you all. I am SOOOOO glad to see there are some goofy people in here instead of a bunch of pain in the asses that flip out over the slightest naughty comment! This should be fun

Ok well I am Candy made out of raw sugar. Happy now Chef?

Eh, not really. I'm mildly pleased, but not happy.

That's what I like about this place too. Most other weight loss forums that I looked at were full of know-it-all jackasses that had no personalities. I can't stand people like that. They make me want to tie fishing line around the base of my penis, attach the other end to the bumper of a semi trailer, tell the driver to "step on it" and let it drag me down the highway until I'm either dead or my genitals tear off. Or, something like that.

*flipping out*

LOL wow... i missed sooo much last night xD
you guys are huularious!

ahh chef... i keep telling you...
your soooo descriptive i can just see everything you say
