Newb Checking In

Hello Everyone

I've been lerking on this site for over a month and figured it was about time I said hello.. I have used a bunch of good info off this site - so thank you..

A good buddy of mine was changing a cam and I was helping and goofing off .. Needless to say from that pic I was and still am scrawny.. Maybe topped out at 150 wet at the time (summer 09).. And had tryed to join a gym a few times but never had the motivation to go for more then a month because I felt so small there and didnt know what I was doing.. I ended up buying a total gym and using that for a few(6) months and never really seen or felt a difference..

Now - sorry if I dont look happy - taking pics of myself is never fun :)

I have joined a gym and been going 3-4 times a week depending on my work schedule for about 2 months now.. The gym was new place that was just opening so everyone was new and that made me feel better about going because nowbody knew where anything was.. Plus a few freinds have been going with me..

I have put on a good bit of weight including around the stomach witch bothers me a lot but I read that you have to eat big to get big so I'm living with it.. What I do like is that I'm lifting quite a bit more now.. For example at first I could only lift 25# a side plus the bar(thinking 45#) for total of 95# and was struggling big time.. Now the other day I was lifting 155# and was still struggling but pumping out 10 witch makes me very happy..

As for eating because I read diet is key.. Well everyone will hate me.. I eat crap and dont see that changing anytime soon.. I am hoping that since I am still going to the gym I can keep the motivation for that let alone change my diet and entire life.. But I did start taking some whey powder and cut out 95% of all the soda I was drinking and switched to water.. Figured that was a start..

Any input on what you think or what I should do.. I like squats but hate deadlifts.. Typical day I hit the bench - inverted beanch - seated row - lat pull down machine -squats- leg press- dips - shrugs - military press(I think) - flys - 2 ab machines - 20 to 30 min on the treed mill.. In and out of the gym in 1.5 hrs unless some freinds are with me.. And I have a declined bench at home since the gym dosnt have one..
