New to excercising

I'm new to this and want to start as soon as possible to get in better shape.
I don't have time to go to the gym or money to buy equipment.
What can I do besides run to get into better shape fast?
 
I only weight 140 pounds and I'm about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
I don't know how to start.
