New pic's!

Hey fitness peeps,
I just wanted to post my pic "before", I just started a new fitness routine and changed my diet up a little, so I will submit my "after" in a few weeks or so.

Advice would be great, my feelings won't be hurt! :D

What are your fitness goals?

Fitness goals would be to tone up my stomach and hips along with the rest of my body. My legs and arms are pretty toned, but could use a little more shape. My stomach and hips seem to be sluggish. I already know that we cannot "spot reduce" so i am not trying to do that. I have already received help from other members on this forum for a fitness routine and eating plan. I am 130#, female, 24 yrs old. I started doing HIIT 3 times per week, non-consecutive days too. I started it last week so I think my new plan might help.

Oh yes, my weight training was also advised to me by someone here. Here is what I just started doing:
Monday: upper horizontal push/pull (chest press/back rows)
Tuesday:lower quad dominant (squats)
Wednesday: cardio day only
Thursday: upper vertical push/pull (shoulder pressing/lat pull variations)
Friday: lower hip dominant (dead lifts)
Saturday: cardio only

And I do abs twice per week. Wednesday I want to start doing Pilates.

Hi Codi... I think you look pretty good right now. It is true that spot reducing is difficult but it is possible to tone your abs if you strenghten you core. My friend is seriously into body building and has some of the best abs ever. The best way to work those abs is to do ball crunches. Also use a dyna disc and try to do exercises balanced on this disc... it builds up your core because you need to suck in your stomach real hard to keep the balance. Make sure you work your back along with working your abs.. it will help a lot. And i guess the best way to lose tummy fat is to cut down on fat intake... nutrition managment helps a lot... I am trying to work on this as well because I hate my tummy right now... but I am definately seeing a difference by managing my fat intake and doing ab workouts along with back workouts. Pilates is also a very good option ... so go for it!
