Hi, my name is Lisa and this is my first day here. I am 33 yrs old and a single mother. I have always been a big girl...just a lot bigger than usual since the birth of my child..no wait..take that back...right after her i lost a LOT of weight...but thanks to hershey sundae pies i am quickly surpassing my pregnant weight (which was my all time highest weight). Now I have no problems being a bigger girl, in fact I embrace it. However, I do not want to be THIS big. I am currently a size 22(and thats a little snug). I would like to get down to a 16 at least. I am not sure how to really go about losing the weight. I am such a picky eater its hard to follow a "diet". I have switched to diet sodas, eliminating about 600 calories a day from my diet, however I think the extra cookies I have been eating arent helping at all. I am southern so therefore I am a meat and taters girl. I need support for sure, thats why I joined this site. Do we get assigned buddies or anything? HELP!!!:(

Hi Lisa!!

From what I've gathered from other posts, most people are just eating less.

I really hate meat which leaves me with starches and vegetables. So I know about being a picky eater.

My approach is eating less of the bad stuff, more of the good stuff. I will have a piece of pizza and green beans or a salad.

I've 5lbs in 2 weeks by eating less and walking a mile on the treadmill
everyday.

I think the big motto around here is "MOVE MORE, EAT LESS"

The forum has place for you to start a journal. You can state your goals and ask questions and people will respond with advice and encourgement.

There are also clubs and challenges but they have already begun. You can look for a buddy in that section too.

Welcome to the boards! I'll watching for your journal!!

place. There are lots of great people here that will support ya!
I started at a snugg 22 also in April I am a 13-14 now pushing for
8-10!The 1st thing I would do is start a diary and update it daily
with foods and activities for that day so you can keep track of
what your doing right and wrong.Good luck and have a gr8 day,Tammy:)
