Hey everyone,
I am new to this group but not to working out and dieting . I began a weight lifting program many years ago and blessed with genetics favorable toward gaining muscle mass and strength at 6'3'' I buffed up to a very powerful and solid 260lbs .
I have however sustained several injuries from my many years of collage football, wrestling and weight training.
It seems these problems have really taken a toll on me as I age and at 45 I was unable to walk or stand for anything other then a few minutes at a time . I become very inactive ( obviously ) for 2 yrs and began eating entire large pizzas and wings while watching the NFL ..UFC ..etc.
By the time I was able to finally start working out again I had ballooned to a insane 460lbs before I realized it
. I am currently seeing my doctor every 6 weeks and training again. I have lost 140lb of fat and gained about 40 pounds of muscle in 10 months according to my body fat % tests and need to lose at least another 100 lbs before the bone specialist will consider giving me the new hip and knee that I need badly .
I am still unable to work out at anything like 100% so I am getting a little worried about losing the rest of the weight as I am slowing down a bit lately.
I am here seeking some moral support , knowledge and fellowship for the rest of my journey down this road back to health.
Thanks for reading this
