New Beginning - Get in Shape and Stay In Shape!

Hi Everyone


This is the first time I have ever started a weight loss diary, I am hoping this plus motivation from others can help me to achieve what I want.

I am 23 years old and 148cm tall (4 ft 10 inches) and I weigh in at 60kg (132 pounds).

I have three main goals that I feel will mash together ok.

To lose weight, tone up and train towards half marathons and the likes of fun runs. My goal weight is 50 - 52kg (110 - 114 pounds) approx.


I know many people probably think that I am thin already, that I don't need to do this etc etc.

But I am doing this for me. Finally. Reading through many posts has helped me get my motivation on track and do this.

Tonight was step one. Create a thread. Throw away that chocolate I received at Christmas and get my gym gear organized.

Bring on Monday.
 
Unless you are already particularly muscular your goal weight for your height seems perfectly healthy and responsible so don't be dissuaded.

Thanks Tourny! Day 1 is here and I am feeling confident! Just must not look at the fish and chips the boss walked in with.
 
My last 2 days have gone amazingly well! My motivation has really kicked in!

2 days of eating yummy healthy food, not drinking soft drinks or energy drinks and I have even been to the gym.

Hope everyone else is having a successful week!

Sounds like you are doing great and already staring to feel the benefits of healthy choices! Good job!!
 
I am not down and out!

I have only had a kg weight loss (went down then up) but I am still positive.

I have religiously been to the gym and changing my eating habits.

Even ran 1.8km on the treadmill yesterday (which I haven't been able to do in a long time)
