I am new to this whole forum thing, so please bear with me while I figure it out. I am new to the forum and looking to get healthy.

Hi Lisa, welcome aboard.

If you'd like to tell us more about yourself, maybe we could help you optimize the path you take to reach your goals.

I have polycystic ovary syndrome and was told by my endocrinologist that any weight loss will not be easy. Not what I wanted to hear. I started a jogging program about 4 weeks ago and really started counting calories about two weeks ago. I've lost about 8 lbs, but haven't lost any the last 10 days. My jogging program has me up to running 8 minutes, walking 2 minutes for three reps. I've been taking in about 1500 -1600 calories. My pants are feeling looser, but I would like to see the poundage come off.

Hey Lisa, I have PCOS as well, and was told that any weight loss would be difficult. I have lost over 100 lbs in about 10 months, and I didn't find it any more or less difficult than anybody else. So don't let PCOS discourage you, it can make losing weight more difficult, but it certainly doesn't have to! :)

Current weight 198. I'm 5' 6". I never had weight issues until my doctor put me on prednisone in 1999 to help me get pregnant. I gained 50 lbs in about 4-5 months. Haven't lost it since. I did get two beautiful girls out of it so it was more than worth it.

Congratulations on the children... I can see how it would be worth it. :)

How are you tracking your calories?

The old fashioned way-pen and paper. I get the calorie counts from a TheCalorieCounter website. I've been watching the portion size to make sure I get accurate numbers.
