33 yrs, 5'4, 255 lbs...female, Hey folks, I've been eating healthy...according to Weight Watchers but I do not attend meetings...my struggle is at night, after dinner about 8:30pm, I want to eat again, not snack but eat. Obviously we all know eating right before bed is an awful habit. I really need some help in finding a way to stop that habit or at least some support cuz I know all about finding a new habit but the old one is still really hard to break. It is only my second day so I'm hoping it will get easier but any help would be appreciated! Thanks to all!!

I have that same problem. I just try to keep my mind on other things. I really have not found anything that works. I try to read or listen to music.

Two suggestions (from the top of my head):
- you could try moving your diner to a later time and/or going to bed earlier
- you could try adding more low calorie-per-volume foods to your dinner (like overeating on spinach), or even better, replacing some of the more caloric ingredients with them), which should provide a better satiation (of longer duration)

hope this helps in any way, good luck

You could plan your calories differently so that you have a supper meal every day at the time that you want to eat.

Other issues are
- are you actually eating enough or are you cutting your calories too low?
- are you drinking enough water? a lot of people wrongly interpret the feeling of thirst as feeling hungry...

If the answer is not in the above - then I have to agree with the notion of eating more low calorie foods that fill you up. It may benefit you to read about the glycaemic index and the benefits of a low-GI diet.

read about volumetrics

Since you have clearly been looking at Weight Watchers material - it may interest you to read about the old WW core plan (WW abandoned it a few years back in one of their program reorganisations) which basically was based on low-GI principles...

The old core plan used to work for some people and not work for others... It all depended on people's ability to judge their feelings of satisfaction...
