Hi everyone,
Well, i came by this site, and i liked the kind of support and advice you give to each other. And may i say, you guys have a lot of knowledge under your belts. I am college aged, 5'8", 140 lbs. I know that im not considered "fat", but right before i got married last april, i was around 118. i promised myself that i wouldn't let my body go, but i guess im eating my words. I go through phases where i exercise like everyday for an hr on the treadmill (summer of '05) and not working out or watching what i eat at all (fall '05). I finally got myself into a moderate routine so that i dont set myself up for failure this Jan. I have been working out 3 days a week (tuesday, thursday, friday) for 4 weeks now for an hr on the elliptical machine. My diet hasn't been all that bad. I have actually gained 5 lbs. since i started. i was 135 and now im around 140. I am pretty sure that it is not my metabolism that has slowed down, and i dont think that my diet is the one to blame either, since i eat probably healthier things now than i did a year ago. I think it might be my birth control, but i need other people's opinions.i just had a few questions for you ya'll:
1) does birth control really make you gain weight
2) if it does, is it too hard to lose it (i heard it was a lot of water retention)
3) its been 4 weeks now, how do i kick-start my body to start losing weight?
