New and I gotta lose this!!!

Hi all!

I'm a 40 year old married mom of 2 who weighs (ugh) 215 pounds. I gained 25back just last year after a successful period where I lost 21 pounds with daily cardio and alternating days of weight lifting and eating 1200 calories a day. I stopped working out every day and well, I pigged out. :cuss:

So, now I have a goal, I need to drop 30 pounds before a trip mid-May. That is my second goal; my first is 20 by April 15th. I believe I can do it if I stick to my plan of 5 days of cardio and 1200 calories per day. I have a ridiculously slow metabolism and if I don't work out, I will barely lose anything. I am also so tired by the time I get home from work (I am a teacher) that I take a nap as soon as I get in the door. The fatigue is unbearable.

So I am trying Hydroxycut, not because I believe it will melt the fat off but to give me the energy I need to function and get to the gym. A friend of mine used it and dropped 60 pounds in 6 months and has kept it off for a year, with diet and exercise.

I started yesterday and I was able to complete my workout effortlessly (I am only taking 1 pill at a time, not 2, to start). I did not have any odd side effects so far. If I do I am not foolish enough to keep taking it.

So, I'm taking this step to post here to hopefully keep me on track. I am encouraged by everyone's success.

hi i started a 215 on the 12th of january and im now fluctuating around 195 =D
sooo you can totally do it... although i would suggest 1400 calories..
but thats just my opinion =P good luck!

Welcome Cee Cee. Im new here too! Will be interesting to hear how the hydroxycut goes... Best of luck

Hey CeeCee,
Hydroxycut is not the answer. That stuff isnt good for you or your body. Why not try something that is good for you and loaded with all the nutrients you need in a meal. I would love to help you lose your weight, with Herbalife all you do is have a shake for breakfast, lunch, and whatever you want for dinner. Let me know if you want to learn more, I would be more than glad to help you. thanks Zach

p.s. check out

"Zach," you seriously need to get the **** out of this forum and stop trying to influence people to have these stupid shakes. They're not healthy and they're going to make people rebound HARD and pack on double the weight they might potentially lose. I know, I once fell for your scam and it was the WORST thing I ever did to my body. Let me put it this way...I'd rather eat at McDonalds every day for a year (which would undoubtedly kill me) than do another round of your shakes that rob me of my money and my health. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I fall for your crap and I pray that no one else does either, though I know they will.

Way2Big, you can honestly do this without weight loss pills. Most of them only pack your body with caffine and/or sugar that cause your heart to race to "stimulate" exercise. You want to drop thirty pounds? Look at how you eat. HOW you eat is actually more important than WHAT you eat. At your present weight, it is absolutely possible to lose 30 pounds in a couple of months by changing the way you eat, even without exercise, and DEFINITELY without pills. I've done it. As for your friend's results, I have no doubt that they were due to her diet and exercise, not to the pills that she shelled out her hard earned money for.

This has to be a lifestyle change if you want the pounds to come off and stay off. There's no easy answer and there's no quick fix, I promise you that! But the fact that you're here means that you want to make the change, which is really wonderful! I encourage you to read a lot of the posts in this place and find a way to do it healthily, without having to resort to pills or shakes that can never live up to what they're promising.

You know what those shakes are calorie wise? Like 65 cals per shake. So two of those puts you at about 130 calories, then you eat dinner right? Well even if you're eating a hamburger and fries, you're still going to be consuming a very dangerously low amount of calories in a day. What happens then? Your body thinks it is starving. What does it do then? Clings to fat cells like super glue and burns muscle instead. So what are you really accomplishing by using these shakes? Harming your body. What happens when your body tells you it's starving? Binge eat.

No matter who you are, you very well might lose weight on these shakes. I never said I didn't when I used them. But when I rebounded (which you are inevitably going to do if you use them), I gained back double. DOUBLE. And thousands of people that have used these do the same thing. But that's not even the point, "Zach", the point is that using these shakes is going to DAMAGE your body. End of story.

I didn't put her down, you moron, I put YOUR PRODUCT down. Absolutely she's going to rebound if she uses it...it is completely unnatural to drink two of these shakes in a day and not have your body react negatively. Granted, some people ignore what their bodies are telling them and keep using these shakes in vain, but it doesn't matter because these shakes don't make your body lose fat, you lose muscle, and if you starve your body enough, yeah you might eventually lose some fat too, but at the expense of your health and your wallet.

If you want to help people on this forum lose weight, then encourage them to buy healthy produce and lean meats, encourage them to save their hard earned money for that beach vacation or whatever they're working towards and go for a walk instead! Encourage them to change their eating habits and make a lifestyle change, or spend the money joining a fun dance class or something else active. That is how to lose weight, not by hurting yourself with shakes and pills. You're not helping anyone buddy, don't delude yourself.

With all due respect, I have tried Herbalife and the shakes were very, very unpleasant. I couldn't even finish one. My husband lost weight on them but they are not for me. I should add that he gained his weight back so I fully realize that I need to adapt my lifestyle to a better way of eating. The fatigue is what gets in the way.

Today is my 3rd day of Hydroxycut and the first day in months that I did not need a nap. Hopefully losing the weight will give me the energy I don't have now.

Laceygirl I'd love to pick your brain.

Hi, I have always been overweight, but I was horrified when I found out this year that I was actually obese. Exercise has always been very difficult for me. I was feeling 80, when I was only 30. I started taking Pondera (oral spray) after hearing some friends talking about Homeopathic appetite control. In the initial stages I was little concerned about the sudden effect (within 2 minutes) of the product.

The customer care guys of Goldshield assured me nothing to worry since it is a homeopathic product. After that it has been a smooth journey for me as I never felt like overeating and I really enjoyed it. Now there is no food cravings and no more empty feeling in the stomach. I feel I have gained more significant movement since taking Pondera and it has given me such confidence that, for the first time in years I’m taking interest in buy new and stylish clothes.

It is doing wonders for me already.

Hydroxycut didn't work for me at all. In fact, I still have a whole bottle here I would gladly give you. :) I tried taking those Farenheit pills that were advertised on TV, almost every other commercial. Of course, they gave me energy, but if I ran out and didn't have time to go to GNC and grab another bottle, I'd get the worst migraine ever...and the only way to get rid of it was to go buy more. It was horrible, which is why I'm done with pills! Be careful with that stuff!

Good luck with your goals! With diet and exercise they should definately be attainable.

I sent you one, I'm not sure but hopefully you should be able to respond to it! If not, let me know here and we'll start a thread to ourselves somewhere. :)

CeeCee,

The good thing is that you've already done this sucessfully before! You know the drill :)

I was recently sucessfull in losing 40lbs (203-163) and I used Hydroxycur for energy for a while too! it seemed to work for me. No side effects. but then moved to a new city and gained like 15 back because I kindof stopped working out and took my new weight for granted. It's easy to do that huh?

I've realized now that I'll have to do this all my life, and so will you :) We just have to get used to a healthy lifestyle so that these sudden weight gains don't happen for no reason!!

Good luck to yoU!

Hydroxycut is not for me

I tried both caffeine and no caffeine and it felt like someone was stepping on my chest. It also gave me diarrhea. I threw it out and am struggling to get to the gym.

Thought I'd report in.

Glad you're checking in love, and I'm honestly glad you threw out the pills. You honestly can do it without them! Did you receive my PM from before? If you'd still like some advice from me, I'm still more than willing to help! :)

i'm glad you threw them out too. some people can't take them, others, like us, can't. but i'm sure you can do it on your own with diet and exercise, like i am doing.

i got some women's protein shake packets, free samples, from a bodybuilding competition i went to in ohio...and i don't think protein shakes are supposed to give me energy, but after i take this in the morning (like i just did, with a piece of toast), i bounce off the walls. i had a really good workout yesterday morning, so i drank another one today. it's 15 grams of protein, 90 calories...but hey, if it gives me energy and gets me to the gym, i'll take it. :) maybe it's all in my head ha.
