Need to work on my lower chest.

Ok guys and gals here's my first actual post or question. I've been working my chest really hard and have seen some great results, but only on my upper chest and core. Is there any way i can pump up my lower chest in a reasonable amount of time?

Thanks,
Bruce

definitely, do decline bench presses and make sure you have your form right bringing the bar all the way down to your lower chest and upper abs, if you haven't done decline before it may feel awkward and a little shaky.

you can also do dips, depending on the width and angle of the dip bars it may be better to face outwards, although you will definitely be hitting your triceps hard as well

Decline does nothing more for your lower chest than regular bench press. The pectoralis major can't change shape by changing the angle. Want a wide sweeping chest? Lift more weight (with good form).

Train your back. Hit the rows and chins. Good back strength encourages good posture. Back strength will draw your shoulders back and will make your chest stick out and look bigger.

yes, do DECLINE....last time we did that I was wearing diapers....

you don't have to be a jerk about it, i bench 30 more pounds on decline than on flat bench and feel it a lot more

what about underhand grip bench press? when I bring that down it's lower on my chest and I feel it lower in my pecs

What is underhand grip bench press? And AJP, I know Bruce personally, lol so anything like that I say to him is said jokingly.

it's just that, instead of an overhand grip, you grab the bare underhand, like you were doing bicep curls, except you're laying on a flat bench.

you definitely have to drop weight to do these, they also feel very akward at first, so you'll need a spotter to be safe.

Also, expect crazy looks from other gym go-ers...its not a common exercise. I have tried it, and can't say I felt much in my pecs.

maybe it's because I just started it, but I definitly feel it in the bottom outside area of my pecs when I'm done

ooooh...ok haha yes, Ive seen people doin those and I did infact give them a second look lol....but I wanna try it now

it's totally cool, underhand definitely feels really weird I needed a spot the first time i tried it, if done correctly they should work the triceps well, but i've never done them much or gotten use to them because it feels really awkward
