Hi there!
I've been reading around the web on exercise in general and am somewhat confused. I've read a few help threads on this forum too but still feel the need to post so please bear with me
I'd like to work on my upper body. My goal would be to get stronger and while I would like a more toned upper body I don't want to look like a complete beefcake..
Gear wise I have a chin up bar and these 2 poles that stick out of a wall, I can do tricep exercises with those ..
The thing is, HOW do I exercise exactly?
from what I've read I'd need to do a little reps as possible but with high resistance .. which is fine and dandy but what does that imply?
4x4 chinups? 3x5? 5x3?
As it stands i can do 6 chinups comfortably, 7 if pushed. I've also noticed that clap pushups are recommended but won't those do your back in?
I'd really like to avoid the gym and workout at home. I'm not a fan of wildly elaborate machines and feel like I'm cheating with the chinup bar as is.
