Need help

well i started off at 276 then i started eating less and counting calories and manged to get myself down to 240. In a few months but now im stuck, i only eat 1400 calories a day. I just started going to the gym again and i burn around 400 calories each time im 17 and 6:1 if that makes any difference how would i go about losing weight and getting to my goal

I dont have all your info and I am not an expert, but you are really tall and could probably use more calories. For me, I eat 1300-1400 and I am only 5'4". I had to add to my diet and now I am losing. You could be in starvation mode. It sounds bad that you should eat more, but it could help. You can pick healthy calories. Watch the amount of mayo you put on things. Watch the portions. For example, someone could eat 1400 calories worth of chips...not healthy..
I really think you should take a look at someone of the stickies on this site to see how much you should be eating.

Hey there!
I started at 290 and now I'm at 204. I'm 5'11'' so nearly your height. I'm 22 so maybe I used to burn less calories than you, because at 17 you must be growing fast. I've been counting calories for the last 6 months, during which I lost 72 pounds.
1400 calories a day IS NOT ENOUGH. Eat about 2000 calories of good stuff. Try to do about 3 hours of training each week. Trust me, your weight WILL drop if you do that.
