need help on how to train

i just tryed out for water polo and discovered i did not have the stamina or strength to keep up and i was wondering what would be a good way to train for it next year i need to know what kind of workouts i should be doing thank

well water polo is a very physical activity; combination of rugby, wrestling, swimming, and basket ball. Swimming and running would definatly be a good start. going a extra lap every couple of days to increase endurance and getting use to the texture of the water. also full body workout (squats, miliarty press, deadlift, bench press, pulls ups) would definatly be helpfull, seeing as though you need alot of upper body strength( shoulder, a good throwing arm, and endurance) and of course your lower body. I would also suggest playing different sports or at least practicing certain aspects within certain sports ( E.G. throwing a baseball, basket ball, football) it'll improve your overall technique of a ball. basically getting your body in shape.
