need help badly!

Hon, you seem to be looking for a magic forumla for weight loss, and it's just not that simple! On the upside, eating better and exercising, as you're doing, puts you well on your way there. Let's look at your suggested menu:

Breakfast: A slice of toast with a bit of butter OR 2 wheatabix with a topping of sugar and milk
Milk (low-fat) is a good idea. It's got lots of vitamins and, prehaps more importantly, protein that will help get you through your day. You want a good breakfast meal so that you won't feel as hungry later.

Break: A Frosties cereal bar (108 cals)
I'm not familiar with this brand, but if it has a lot of sugar (carbs), this might not be a good idea. Your body burns sugar very quickly, and unless you add something like protein or fiber, you're going to be hungry again very soon. Consider oatmeal: it's healthy, fills you up, and is relatively low-cal.

Lunch: Same as break
Perhaps a lettuce wrap instead? I've noticed they seem to be fairly popular. Take a leaf of lettuce, put some pieces of boiled chicken and veggies in it, and voila you have a meal. It's got to be healthier (and more satisfying) than a cereal bar.

At 3:30pm i do 6-8 miles on my bicycle, then afterwards do some sit-ups and about 20 minutes on the weights.

This sounds like a good exercise plan. Make sure to change it up now and again, though, so your body doesn't get used to it.

Tea (at around 4:30pm): A small pasta and cheese sauce meal.
Add in some vegetables, and this would sound good.

Would you lose two pounds per week with this diet? Maybe, who knows! There are no magic numbers-- really! But what you suggested doesn't sound particularly healthy. As your body grows (especially as a teenager!), it needs nutrients even if you're trying to lose weight. If you are worried about your vitamins, a daily multivitamin can help make sure you have what you need. But be sure to eat healthy foods too!

I know you are looking for help, so I hope that was helpful, even if it didn't give you the answer you wanted.

It was helpful. I do sometimes take a multivitamin. See the thing is i go to school, so i cant really do that lettuce wrap, sounds nice though. Im restricted to pretty high calorie things at school, cereal bars are all they have which are healthy. Well that or extremely over-priced grapes.
How long should it take me to lose a stone do you think?

Thanks for the reply. Im going to bed now though, i got school tomorrow.

Darn schools that don't supply healthful lunch alternatives! I take it then that you are not permitted to bring a lunch of your own?

One stone = 14 lbs right? I can't say or even guess how long it would take you to lose that. Have you tried talking with a physician about your weight loss goals? A doctor might be able to set you on a better course that provides realistic expectations of how much weight you'll lose and when you'll lose it, along with making sure your health isn't in jeopardy while you're losing weight.

Well your on the right track. I would just say personally I would change up your diet a bit. I wouldn't have butter on my toast.
If you have to have a very light spreading of Vitalite or a light sunflower spread. Wheatabix is great but I wouldn't put any sugar, it's just empty calories. Try a banana cut up instead and make sure to use low-fat milk, skimmed is best but semi-skimmed will do. Whole milk is not the best idea.
Frosties bar is basically pure sugar. It will not keep you full and is definately no substitute for lunch. I wouldn't recommend going home and doing that amount of exercise after only eating frosites bars for the day. I realize about the school lunches, I know that schools offer a vegetarian option and usually an Asian option of curry and rice or something similar. It would really be ok for you to eat something on offer at school for lunch as long as you stay away from the chips, burgers, pizza type options.
Then for tea. Small cheese and pasta meal isn't the greatest, esspecially if it is one of those processed meals. Cheese is high fat and the amount of salt etc... in those things is normally very high. Just get some Dolmio tomato sauce with vegetables already in. I cut up peppers, mushrooms, onion, garlic, fry in alittle olive oil and add it to the sauce. Then just use some regular pasta shapes. If you get the chance get wholemeal pasta. They have it at Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys and all of the chain grocery stores. You could have a decent portion of this which you could really use after exercising.
The key is to try to eat a decent amount of the right foods. I have found when I try to eat small amounts of everything that eventually I just freak out and end up binging out on all of the stuff I deprive myself of. Good luck.

Ok well today i had a slice of bread (no butter), and 2 cereal bars. So now im pretty hungry (ive only just read your reply so i thought at the time that frosties bars would be ok) So i was thinking, 2 chicken fillets with salad for tea? Would that be ok?
No more cheating for me now, i just went on the scales and for some stupid reason ive lost a stone in about 15 hours  The scales must be broken. I only cheated because i thought i had gained weight, turns out the scales are messed up.
Also Sifen, yes i could bring my own lunch. I havnt given it much thought though, maybe a tuna sandwich or something to replace the cereal bars. Man the things at school are unbelieveable: Hot dogs, burgers, chips, bacon, huge cookies and a huge range of differently presented pizza, and thats just the start. Whats funny is our school has attempted to be healthy, i think its thanks to Jamie Oliver. Anyway lol get this. You can only buy mineral water now, so great you can eat loads of pizza, chips and burgers, but man your really healthy when you wash it down with some over priced water.
Anyway im happy now i know the scales are shot it. I think now its time to start gaining muscle, im approaching the build i need to start. Im quite tall anyway (5 ft 10) and i have broad shoulders etc. My dad used to lift weights so he can help.

Sounds great! I'm glad you are feeling better. It may be a good idea for you to weigh in at Boots or somewhere once a week you know at one of those big scales that cost 20p. It would be more accurate anyway. Chicken and salad is great. I eat tuna salad with no butter on the bread. Turkey breast slices with salad is good too. I get tortilla wraps too. It's nice to put turkey, chicken or tuna in with some lettuce and tomato, then I drizzle a bit of fat free or lowfat salad dressing like vinagrette or honey mustard on it. It's super yummy. Also if you can get that extra lowfat soft cheese it is super nice on toast in the morning instead of butter or marg. My favorite in the morning is fruit and fibre cereal with milk and a banana, it fills you up for ages until lunch time.

Cool, good ideas. By the way do you know any calculators (online) which tell me how many calories i should have a day?
Also, how can 2 weeks have passed and me not lose any more weight? My dad fixed the scales and im still the same weight.

Also, someone on another forum said my metabolism would have hit rock bottom, because i didnt do much exercise in the past. Is it difficult to regain?

P.S. Sorry for being a bit of a handful to help out, thanks a lot for the replies though!

Why does it say someone has replied to this thread since i did but the last post i can see is my own? Can someone copy and paste what the last replier said if you can view his/her post, thanks. (If that makes sense)

I don't see any replies between your two, so it must've been a glitch. Anyway, in regards to how many calories you should eat, 1. Ask a doctor, they're more knowledgable, and 2. Until you get to a doctor, perhaps this site will help: Discovery Health :: Calculators :: Basal Metabolic Rate It tells you how many calories you burn every day by doing nothing, and that's a start at least. Good luck!

WOW That link was cool. I can't believe I burn 1600 calories a day even if I stayed in bed all day! That's nuts. I must eat an aweful lot of calories then! Interesting.

Good idea to use Boots scales. I only weighed myself on those for about 6 months until I could afford to buy some really nice digital ones. The cheap old fashioned ones seem to go wonky, esspecially if they are used very often like mine tends to be!
