Need Advice!!

I've been working out for 7 months, unfortunately I didn't take a before picture, but here is where I'm at now. i'M 6'3 AND 222LBS. What should my target weight be?





Any chance someone could estimate body fat? I'm not sure where to go from here, I go to the gym 4-5 times a week depending on work, and follow a diet plan of eating every two hours. I'm not really sure how much protein im taking in but I would say 40g a day. I've just been trying to eat whole wheat, no high fructose corn syrup products, cut all fast food and soda. Ive definitely gained muscle, if increased weight in every exercise.

Your BMI is high, but BMI is horse**** anyways. Why don't you go get a DEXA scan done? In my city they're about $90 and the give you a good estimate. When asking about target weight, it's somewhat difficult to say because (as mentioned above) BMI dictates a set of standards that is way more often than not COMPLETELY WRONG. I tend to believe that a body composition/body fat percentage is the best yardstick.

You should be taking in 1g - 2g of lean protein for each g of lean muscle mass on you, so I think 40g is either low for intake or low estimation on how much you're eating.

You look leaner than me and I'm about 10%. This, of course, is just a guess. So I'm I bet you're <10%. If that's the case, you're at Athletic (6% - 13%) which means anything on and above is purely aesthetic.

No DEXA scan please, save your money. Without a better pic I'd say your bodyfat is in the mid to upper teens. You've got some muscle to you, but not without fat. As far as protein, I bet you're getting more than 40g. If not that's an area you need to address. What your diet and workout regimen consist of would be a good place to start.
