Need a better scale!!

I have a digital scale and it sucks. I weight myself 5 times in a row and I get 5 diffrent readings. I'm not even moving my scale. I don't care if my scale is not accurate, as long as it's consistent. If I weigh myself 5 times in 1 minute, i expect it to be the same weight every time. Does anyone know a scale that can do this? My price range is 50$ and under.

Scales are such evil bastards. Just make sure that you have it placed on a flat hard surface and keep it in the same area every time you weigh. If you have a free weight available (5lb? 10lb?) then place it on the scale and see how far off it is. Calibrate from there. If anything, just jump on the scale once..... those damn things always play mind games and they aren't worth the headaches in my opinion. I don't do the daily thing, because that's just too much BS to deal with. (Besides, it's inaccurate due to water retention, glycogen, etc, etc) Try looking online for reviews of various scales if you really want to replace the one you have. It's all up to you. Good luck.

Honestly unless you buy a really nice digital scale they pretty much all suck!

The best scales are the old fashion kind with the dial. I've tossed my digital scale for old trusty.

They are usually about 10-15 bucks.

It's true, I even tossed out my old digital one because I had the same problem as you. My current scale is a traditional dial one I bought at Wal-Mart for $5. It even gives the same reading as my doctor's scale.
 
Just make sure you get one with a big enough dial to read from a distance. All scales tend to be hit or miss, but a dial should be at least consistent if not accurate.

I have a great scale. I know I didn't pay over $50 for it, because I just wouldn't spend that much on a scale. I forget the brand, it is upstairs and I am just too darn tired to run up there and see, but I will definitely get back to you. It has 4 buttons, 1 for each person(up to 4) to input their info. It saves your info and then tells you how much you lost since last saved weigh-in. You can input your goal weight and it will tell you how far from it you are. It tells body fat % and also your hydration level(%). It works well, I love it. I personally like digital scales because they are easy to read and it shows changes as little as .2 so that's good. My old scale would constantly change everytime I got on it even if within a few seconds. This one won't budge(even if I want it to:eek:)

OH, but it does exist....



it shows $49.99 but I bought it at Wal-mart for less(I am pretty sure).
This is not the exact model number I have. But it looks exactly the same, they probably added 1 new thing and gave it a new model number.

Do you have it on a flat surface (not carpet)?
