I'm 27 and a new mum of a nearly 9 month old baby. I'm Breastfeeding and have really struggled with weight gain (after losing weight while pregnant).

I'm currently a stone over my Pre pregnancy weight, two stone over my lightest weight and two and a half stone over my goal weight.

My starting weight is 160 pounds (although I was 159 the day I started excercising). First goal is 140 for 29th June (partners bday). In currently on day 8 of the 30 day shred and have lost 5 pounds :)

Starting measurements (with 1 week changes beside)

Waist: 35inches 34.5
Tummy: 40
Hips: 39inches*
Bum:41 40
Arms: 11.5
Boobs: 40
Back: 35.5 34
Back fat: 35.5 33.2
Thighs: 22 21.5
Calves: 14 14.3
 
Currently 154 pounds, I did an hour and a half walk yesterday after my workout. I'm going for brunch today so I'll need to watch what I eat x
 
Just completed day ten and I'm feeling really proud of myself (especially considering my back and head have been sore all day so I really had to talk myself into doing it). I've had two rest days within the first ten days which I think is quite healthy. My current weight is 152 which is a loss of 8 pounds which I'm feeling really good about.

I'm noticing changes in my body, particularly my thighs and the upper half of my tummy. My face is getting noticeable slimmer also which is good as I always gain in my face and it doesn't suit me.

I'm going to take 10 day pictures later as I have some before pics already to see the difference. Really looking forward to starting level two although I think it'll be really difficult.

My measurements are now:

Waist: 34 (1inch lost)
Tummy: 39.8 (0.2inch lost)
Hips: 39 (no loss)
Bum: 40 (1inch loss)
Arms: 11 (0.5inch loss)
Boobs: 40.1 (0.1inch gain)
Back: 34 (1.5inch loss)
Back fat: 34 (1.5 inch loss (must have measured wrong before))
Thighs: 21 (1inch loss)
Calves: 14.3 (0.3inch gain).
 
I did day two of level two today. Finding it really difficult, I can barely finish most of it, however I feel like I get a good workout :) going and hour and a half walk again today :)
 
Its always painful to start a workout... lol... But it will be all good soon enough.
There are times I actually look forward to the pain. Makes me feel as if I am accomplishing what I set out to do.
Congrats on your progress. Sounds like you are on a really good roll.
 
Congrats on the new bundle of joy Natalie. And also on the 8 pound drop. Keep up the good work.
 
I did over two hours of walking today, I've not decided yet if i'll do my workout or leave it till tomorrow. The scales have went up slightly, back up to 156 :S I'm losing inches though so I'm not going to stress too much x

I did my measurements since the scales don't seem to be shifting and I'm definitely losing :) I'm feeling slimmer too. I've had two days off my workout :s I couldn't face it after my big walk then I just couldn't get into it yesterday so I'm going to do the next 7 days in a row. I've got a deal with my oh he'll buy me something nice if I complete it :) x
 
I did level two day three today, found it difficult though and couldn't really finish it, probably because I've missed two days so I'm going to do an extra day and finish next Saturday instead. Feeling a bit bad I've lost the motivation so need to get right back into it tomorrow x
 
I did day 4 today. I've not ate well today though. I had a piece (one slice of bread) and potato scone, then later on a pitta bread, some fruit and then two pork chops with noodles and soya sauce dressing. It would all be just ok (I'm breastfeeding so can have extra calories) but then I was in a bad mood and had ice cream and banana :s x
 
I was really struggling but I relaxed a bit yesterday and feel right in the mood again. I'm walking down to a bounce and rhyme baby class at half one, glass of orange and raspberry juice today, a banana, some natural yoghurt and blueberries so feeling very healthy. Having spaghetti Bolognese for dinner which isn't the best but isn't bad either- it's all made from scratch and filled up with veg to make it better.

I'm feeling really insecure about my body just now, I really want to get fit. I signed up to do pretty muddy, it's a 5k obstacle course, like an easier version of tough mudder so I'm going to get in shape for that :) x
 
Did my workout today :) I was too sore after my big walk to do it yesterday, I need to start doing it in the morning when I'm most motivated. That's day 5 done although I'm going to add a few days because I was finding it difficult and have missed a few days. So I think i'll do around 12 days. My weight loss has stalled after the initial quick drop :S hopefully it'll pick up again.

I'm going to the park later to do a big walk again. I had Weetabix for breakfast, will have some fruit and greek yoghurt for lunch and having a chicken and noodle (not a lot of noodles) stir fry for dinner.

I had a good day yesterday although didn't manage the walk because after I picked up my partner from work id forgot the babies pram :) Today im stuck in because I have an appointment. Did my measurements and Im definitely losing although the scales still stuck :S I'm going to do my workout. I had coffee and some scrambled egg at breakfast and shared some of my babies greek yoghurt she had for her snack, not sure about lunch or dinner yet as im in myself, possibly salad or baked potato but ill see x
 
Today ive ate quite well. I had melon after the yoghurt. I made pepper, onion and lentil soup for dinner and then made homemade low sugar rice pudding for after, I was intending to freeze it up for the baby but it didn't turn out the best so we just ate it. Overall id say I did ok although I felt absolutely stuffed after my soup! Tomorrow probably won't be amazing as im going to my ohs mums for dinner and she's making pie, beans and chips, I'll just have to be extra good during the day.
 
Just finished my workout, level 2 day 6 :) I tried my hardest and im now able to do most of it, the walk down push ups are hard and the burpees and plank jacks, I think ill always struggle with them because my arms are really weak but I'll keep trying :) x
 
I just did my workout level 2 day 7, although my oh phoned me and I ended up not finishing it but I did extra sit ups and push ups. I also had a shot of my mums weighted hula hoop earlier- feeling a bit bruised round the hips now lol. I'm feeling very strong, I went from thinking I'd never be able to do a proper push up to being able to do around 5 (sounds like nothing but a big achievement for me).

I'm going out tomorrow so will be drinking but since having baby I'm a lightweight so won't be much. Will be going a big walk in the afternoon.

I had a terrible eating day today. I had one slice of toast at breakfast. Then a weight watchers meal and can of orange san Pellegrino (my favourite). Then my sister came up and I had a quarter of a salmon sandwich. My mum then brought out a creamy toffee biscuit dessert thing and I ate far too much of it, at least 300 cals in not more. I was just going to have a salad but my mum cooked salmon en cruet(sp?) and potatoes, I only had 4 small baby potatoes whch wsasn't awful but the whole day was pretty bad. I'm really wanting to do clean eating so will try better tomorrow x
 
This is a very inspiring post. I'm in the same boat and seeing your progress is very helpful. I'm just finishing up my first week of eating right and exercising. It was a rough week, but I'm feeling great. Good luck!
