My WW Journey

Hello.
I started Weight Watchers last Thursday.
I weighed in at a monstrous 13st 10.5lbs.
I can't wait to watch those numbers go down.
Starting tomorrow.

Hey, welcome! I've been on WW since mid January and have lost nearly 30 pounds following the programme! It's such an awesome feeling :D Did you enjoy your first meeting? I weighed a lot more than I thought when I first went--Was very upsetting but also a good thing because it showed me just how far I'd let myself slip and how badly I wanted to change!
The WW food range is AMAZING as well. I use the WW stuff for nearly every meal and love it. Havent got bored yet!
Will you be doing exercise with your diet? How tall are you and how much do you want to lose? Good luck!

I did enjoy my first meeting.

Like you, I weighed a lot more than I thought. It's gutting, really.
My scale says I weigh a stone less than the WW scale did but clearly, the WW scale is God.
Hehe.

I will definitely be exercising. I have a pedometer and I regularly work out at the gym.

You are in the 70s. Are you tall or short? I'm like.. 5'8ish?

Oh and I want to lose.. gosh, 50lbs at least!
But I'm going to go with little, achievable goals because 50 seems so far away.
I want to get to my 5% goal, which is 13stone.

What's your goal weight, Hana?
 
My diary is called "Put that down, fatty!" Horrible name, I know!!

I'm not sure if I look different really..I think when you're used to looking in the mirror and thinking URGH, it's very hard to get out of that frame of mind even if logically you know you have lost weight. I've noticed it in my face and my upper body. I've lost quite a few inches from my waist as well! Measurements are KEY in checking progress. Some weeks I'll lose nothing but will have lost various inches/cm from around my body!

I'm 5'10 so I'm a big girl all over really! I've gone from a size 16/18 to a small 14 or a 12 in some places (not topshop..never topshop!!) so I'm happy :)

I'm so glad you liked your leader! I often go to mine wanting advice and it's AWESOME when you hit your 10% goal because you get an awesome keyring and everyone claps and asks you how you did it! Also, you can get alot of the foods and stuff at the meeting you cant get anywhere else!

You can do this and I can't wait to see your progress!!

Today after work I bought The Biggest Loser Workout DVD.
My plan for tomorrow is a 10 minute run at the gym and then Body Attack class.
And then in the evening, I'll do the Biggest Loser dvd.

I've eat a lot this week.
So I really will be on track tomorrow.

Speaking of being on track, I will write down EVERY SINGLE THING that I eat. No lies.
 
Nearly a size 12!!! I'm getting there though :) Would love to be a size 10 like I was when I was 16 though!! And I missed your post asking me what my goal weight it--It's about 150 (I think) but it'll change as I go depending on how I look!

And yes, make sure you write EVERYTHING you eat down!! Seriously, that's the BIGGEST push you can give yourself. Hold yourself accountable. I used to think I was eating about 1500 a day before my diet--Worked out my average daily food and most days it was pushing 2500! Amazing what writing it down can do for you!

Let me know what the biggest loser DVD is like! I want to get it!
 
5.5 points spare yesterday.
4 points spare today.

Am not allowed to eat any chocolate until next Saturday. I think I'm addicted to chocolate so am going cold turkey for the week.

Did the Biggest Loser work out DVD.
It's brilliant.
Very hard work.
I aim to do it before work every day this week, except Friday.

I'm going to make a mug of Horlicks and then Im getting into bed.

Sleep tight all.
I will lose weight on Thursday.
 
Oh oh oh, you should get the WW hot chocolates. SO YUMMY. 50 calories and so perfect for before bed drinks! Glad to hear the DVD was good--Think I'll look into buying it. Well done having points left over! A lot of people think they have to eat all of them but it's good to have some spare if you can! Just make sure you're eating enough, lovely.
 
Today I'm pretty sure I ate the best apple of my life.

6 points left over today (including activity ones).

Bed + Options hot chocolate.
Then sleep.
Then getting up at 5.45 for "The Biggest Loser" work out dvd.

I think I want to do one of those...
and monitor my progress with video.
Could be cool.
 
I wish my body was like Miley Cyrus's.
She drinks caramel frappucinos from various chain coffee shops and stays skinny. It's unfair.

I'd love to go to fatcamp! Are there some in your area? It'd be like the Biggest Loser! Although I bet when you leave its harder to keep it off. Better to do it slow and steady :D When do you weigh in? And how many points do you get a day? What sort of stuff have you been eating? SO MANY QUESTIONS!
 
Heeey Sunflower.
There is a fat camp one in Exeter. That's the nearest one. They sent me a brochure today. My mum's vaguely supportive of me going there so.. I might just do it.

I get to eat 22 points per day. How many do you get?*
I weigh in on Thursdays @ 7pm.

I eat reasonably healthily.
Oatmeal, raisins & nuts for breakfast.
2 oatcakes & cottage cheese for a snack.
Jacket potato for lunch.
WW Yogurt & 1 Ginger oatcake for another snack
Vegetarian chilli for dinner
Apple & Options hot chocolate in the evening.

Do you see how much more I eat than you? My excuse is that I eat more to fuel me at work. I workout before work and then cuz I work in a high school, I'm on my feet for like 5 hours a day so.. I burn quite a few calories that way and need food to keep my energy levels up.

Blah blah blah. I probably just eat too much.
I guess Thursdays WI will tell me whether I eat too much or not.
 
I dont think you're actually eating that much more than me..If you add up all the calories I'd say we were about the same. You might be more by an hundred or so but like you said, you're a busy woman! I'm doing my teacher training at some point so not looking forward to the long days! I'm allowed 19-20 I think. I focus more on my calories though because I'm not that fond of the points system. (a potato is 2.5 points but if you mash it, it's only 2?!) Madness!
