WOW! Can't believe I am actually typing this all out. So this is my first day on here and I a little bit excited and quite excited about it. Looking forward to having somewhere to log stuff I am doing but also how I feel about it all.

I really want to make my weight loss work and stick this time so, trying everything possible to keep me going.

In terms of what I am doing to lose weight, I see my trainer 2x a week and get pushed way further than I ever thought I could go. He has also given me a diet and exercise programme. It did take a while to get used to it all, but now I'm getting used to it all! I enjoy most training sessions when i am done but not during!

So food wise today:

BREAKFAST: 2 egg omelette, with tomatoes, courgettes, spring onion, spinach and a little bit of cheese (2 egg whites and 1 yolk - not a big fan of the yolk!) and pice of seeded toast.

LUNCH: Chicken breast, salad ( lettuce, cucumber, spinach, tomato, red onion, carrot, sweetcorn), balsamic and olive oil 1tbsp of each

DINNER: (cooked yesterday so just need to heat it up) salmon with lemon and dill with steamed mixed veg

SNACKS: am - cheese string

pm - 3 tsps of hummus and half a red pepper

Overall good day! No fizzy drinks :) Just water - about 2L

Exercises wise:

PT session:

10 min warm up

45 min circuits (25, 20)

10 mins abs and cool down

Hardest session yet! A lot more in each circuit than previously. Second circuit was really tough didn't get all the reps but this is the first 25/20 min circuits so I suppose I did ok. New most hated exercise: lunge jumps!

Managed my first ever proper press ups....well could go all the way down but did them on my toes rather than knees. Massively pleased about that...

Overall it's been a good day!

Not really sure what else to say right now

Welcome to the forum honey! Logging your food is a great idea, all of us on the diary section do it! Good luck, your work-outs sound amazing!

Hi there and welcome! I'm new here too. Wow, your diet sounds very awesome and delicious!! And it's great you've got a personal trainer too. Sounds like you're very serious and determined to lose weight. Best of luck and see you around!!

Great job Ally. You can only start where you are right now. Each day is a little victory. Enjoy it! Keep track of all the little and big things you do that are healthy and give yourself a point for each one. See if you can get one more point each day. Make the process fun :)

Diary day 2

Sore from yesterday's training session, but got a call reminding me to get my cardio session in today. So got myself to the gym at lunchtime....first 10 mins were not nice, my legs were very sore. Diet and exercise has been fine today but had a bit of a weird day. Family stuff is getting me down at the minute and I just don't know how to deal with it all.

Anyway food

BREAKFAST:Special K red berries and 1% milk

LUNCH: Tuna salad

DINNER: Nando's style chicken (basically chicken breast marinated in nandos sauce) with green beans, cauliflower and broccoli, peas and sweetcorn

SNACKS: 2 Ryvita with hummus

Cottage cheese with cucumber and a few drops of tabasco

Exercise wise:

45 mins cardio ( 25mins Cross trainer, 10min stepper and 10 min rowing)

Really want to make sure all this family stuff and stress doesnt mess up my weight loss.

Great workout - lots of variations. Overall great job - keep it up. Remember exercise is a great way to deal with stress.

A suggestion is to have a back up plan already mapped out for when family issues prevent you from going to the gym. What short workout could you do at home. Even if you have to divide it into 2 15-minute segments - that's better than nothing. Maybe 15 min of cardio and then later 15 min of strength. It helps to write out your plan and know when you need to put it into place. Keep it up!

Today's been a pretty good day overall, despite having very sore legs! Was dragged shopping by my sister-in-law and mum. Normally I hate going shopping with them because nothing I like fits, but today was so much better than usual. I picked up a size 18 for most thing, but it was too big, and amazingly the 16 fit perfectly. It was nice to ask them to get me another size because the one I had was too big....never done that before. Felt good. It's kinda extra motivation to keep going. But then because I know I've got a way to go yet, I am not sure whether there's point in buying new cloths right now, or if I should wait...

Anyway food's been good, did have a little treat for lunch:

BREAKFAST: Strawberry yoghurt with raspberries and a few extra strawberries. 1 boiled egg without the yolk - bit of a weird combo for breakfast

LUNCH: Hoisin duck wrap, fruit pot and bottle of still strawberry flavoured water

DINNER: Steamed salmon with dill and lemon, chilli and garlic tossed mixed veg

SNACKS: Cheese string

Carrots and hummus

Strawberry yoyo (fruit roll made with natural fruit extracts)

Exercise wise: Rest day today but lot of walking while shopping. Will do my stretches before bed too.

Hi there, glad you had a good time shopping!! Yeah, it can be difficult sometimes with sizes and when things don't fit well, but when it does go well, it's quite fun, isn't it? Your food sounds super yummy too!!

Thank you mrsinez! You're right shopping can be a bit fun when things fit :)

So today's been a great day food wise....was meant to get a workout in but ended up having my 3 nephews all day....brother golf day and sister-in-law had a spa day.But I love the boys so didn't really mind! But I swear I burned a fair few calories! A 3 year old and 20 month old twins....tiring day over all!

Food were things were fine:

BREAKFAST: Country crisp strawberry with 1% milk

LUNCH: 3 fish fingers, sweetcorn, peas and green beans

DINNER: Tandoori chicken, salad and yoghurt

SNACKS: Cottage cheese and cucumber

Cherry tomatoes

Mini milk ice lolly

No workout as such but been running round with the boys. Went to the park for 4 hours. Will do a 10min quick workout before bed!Just coz I'll feel guilty if I've done nothing!

Mini-milks are awesome! And not many calories at all, actually. I was surprised! Food is looking good lovely, keep it up!

LAst few days have been chaotic....haven't had a chance to do anything other than work, family stuff and sleep!

Anyway exercise has slipped I cancelled PT sessions on both Mon and Tues and my trainer has not been bet pleased, but have a session booked for tomorrow night, which I CAN'T and WON"T cancel for anything! Exercise has really slipped this week....I literally have had NO time. I've ben working 8-9/10 since monday and just havent had a chance to do anything! Anyway, I know that if I'd tried harder I probably could have managed to fit something in and in someways being busy is an excuse.

Food wise last couple of days haven't been bad. Carbs were probably a little bit higher than I would have ideally liked but other than that no issues really.

Overall today has been a great day. Finished work early...went to the gym and did a 90 in workout (60 cardio and 30 strength). Felt really good to get back into the swing of things...but kinda dreading tomorrow and what Adam will have in store for me, specially when i fess up I haven't got all my workouts in this week....

Food today has been good, but getting sick same breakfast everyday....

BREAKFAST: strawberry crunchy crisp cereal with 1% milk

LUNCH: Smoke salmon and avacado salad

DINNER: Nandos - quatre chicken, peas and corn on the cob

SNACKS: Necatarine

Cheese string

Hummus on a ryvita

Drank nothing but water today, but reall need to increase the water I am drinking because been told I am not drinking enough...goal is to manage to get 2.5-3 litres of water, currently I probably dont even drink 1.5 litres.

Also want to make sure that no matter what I am loggining on here and updating this to make sure that I keep going!

OUCH....WOW I've never had such a hard workout....Adam really pushed me, more than usual today! I swore at him for the first time today, he just laughed. I did apologise at the end of the session because I felt bad, he said "I know you I worked you hard today, because I've never heard you swear, and you had not energy to argue with me when I added things on!". And he was right - I was spent.

A more positive outcome of today is that I found that my workout really helped me relax after a crazy work day! Oh and also I did hate doing the plank today!

Food was pretty good today, water was a bit of a fail....only drank 1.5litres which is pretty low considering I had a hard workout too!

BREAKFAST: Fruit salad and plain yoghurt

LUNCH: Grilled chicken salas

DINNER: Homemade Nando's chicken with steamed veg

SNACKS: Cottage cheese and red pepper

Chicken sausage

Strawberries

Grapes

Overall a good day food and exercise wise even though I had a busy day at work and have a few stressful issues to deal with at home! Pleased with today, except the water!

Great job getting to the gym. Here's a suggestion - write down how you felt after completing such a challenging workout. Write it out and put it wherever you typically make the decision to skip a workout. Maybe that's your car or your front door. Wherever that tipping point is for you - have this personal reminder of how great you felt even though it was hard. Write about how it helped you manage stress. I find that helps me when I don't want to get up. I have a reminder right next to my alarm clock because that's where I make the decision to rollover or get up.

Keep up the good work.
