My Weight Loss Journey.

Hi all - I'm new here, and this is the first weight loss forum I have joined. I'm a Mum of 4, and recently had my daughter who is 8 months old. I was happy with my weight before I got pregnant, but gained over 30 kg's. I have tried all sorts of eating programs over the last 6 months but I lack the willpower and discipline need to carry it out. I recently did a quiz that suggests I have a food addiction. This shocks me, and I am desperate to control my eating and find motivation to get moving. I thought joining this forum would help me in terms of accountability and support. So here goes...tomorrow I am starting my eating plan consisting of 1400 calories, and starting some light exercise building up to 1 hour cardio 4-5 times a week, and strength training 3-4 times a week. I would really value and appreciate any support out there, including hearing about others journeys :) I'll be logging on everyday to share my ups and downs. Wish me luck!

Hi Angel, welcome and I hope you do well here.
I am from Australia so it can get a bit quiet here during my day.
4 children that must keep you very busy....I have only 1 and he is now 22, so my work is done....well you know a mums job is never done.
Wishing you all the best in you loss of weight.
mrs woods.

Yes they certainly do keep me busy! :) and because I find my days can be quite stressful, food is my friend! Quite an unhealthy relationship :( I'm looking forward to when my children get to your son's age, it should be much easier. Thank you for your well wishes. Are you looking to lose weight too?

Oh yes, I too have a diary...you can see I have put on heaps of weight too, have lost about 10.4 kg.
I still have not done any exercise...well not much, just cutting out bad carbs has helped a lot.

Hi Angel and welcome! There are many great people and inspirational stories here. Personally I'm looking to lose about 30lbs.

Hope you slowly build a healthier relationship with food. I find the key is to not diet but create a lifestyle change. diets to me are short term which spell failure because you will go back to old habits after and gain weight back. I've started by cutting out pop and junk like chips and candy as much as possible. Also cut down the sugar in my tea.

so inspiring...i have no child but rencently i'm preparing to be a mum..i have already got 5pound just for babies...sometimes i feel a little worry about i can not get back slim after giving birth..heard your feeling, i will follow you and feel hope still can keep slim..wish u and me luck!
