:waving:Well, it has been 2 weeks since I have started my weight loss venture (On my 3rd week). I have lost a total of 6 lbs. My goal is to get to 125 lbs by the end of this year or the beginning of next year. I am DETERMINED to do this.

From my previous post in “Newcomers”. I am doing it the old fashion way, eating healthier and less (1200 calories) and Exercising.

Yesterday I went and bought Jillian Michael’s 30 Day shred. Boy, did it kick my butt. I was on Level 1 for 20 minutes and huffed, puffed and sweated the whole way through. I am going to keep at this and hopefully build some stamina. I also plan on adding more cardio in since the DVD is only 20 minutes.

I also bought The Firm Total Body Transfirmation. I mainly wanted the weights. Once I start it, I’ll post my experience with it.

Today, my company is starting the Biggest Loser Contest. We are weighing in, taking pictures and measurements today. Everyone participating is putting in $20.00 to join. It will be tracked for 8 weeks and at the end the winner takes the Jackpot. I’m really excited and plan on taking the winnings =P I’ll keep posting my progress.

Well done on the 6 lbs loss! Great start, keep it up!

Thats average of 2 lbs a week so it will take 30 weeks at that rate to loose the 60 lbs goal.

Good luck with it!

Thanks Guys!!

So I went and had my picture taken, got weighed and they measured our body fat. Eeeek  When I learned what my body fat is and what it should be, I was mortified! I'm so glad I realized that I need to turn my life around. This time it's for myself and not anyone else.

Well done on the loss so far, and Best of luck with the Contest!!! :D

Keep us updated!

Congratulations on losing your first 6 pounds! :)

After you lose your first 10, the feeling is so much greater than anything else.

And good luck with the contest! I know you can do it!

That's a really cool idea, too. I work at an Outback Steakhouse, so there's no way we'd ever do anything like that. We give out free meals to the employee of the month. Ha ha!

Good luck, Superfox!

Thanks Kori & lykewoahxjean!!

So far so good. I went over my calories on Tuesday and it was my off day from working out. Even though I went over my calories, it was still under my calorie intake to maintain my weight. I hear zig zagging calories is not so bad.

Whoo hoo! The weekend is here and I am off. Just gotta watch the eating out part. I usually do :Angel_anim:

Worked Out: Mon, Wed, Thurs
Future Workout: Friday (today), Sunday
Next weigh in: Sunday or Monday

Well, I lost 1 lbs this week. Which is a little bit of a bummer but then again I don't think I tried as hard this week. There's always this week. :)

thanks for stopping by my diary :) weight loss is totally non linear.... well it can be... if you are extreme. but extreme requires careful calculation and planning, to do it right. as long as you're sticking to the plan and trusting the process, you will be rewarded with weeks where weight just seems to fly off. on the flip side, there will be weeks where your losses are masked by water retention and you might even gain. keep track of the trends and you will not be discouraged.

For the Biggest Loser at work, we are weighing in every Tuesday. On the scale there, I have lost 1.8 pounds. Not so bad for weighing myself Monday and only losing 1 pound.

Do males lose more weight in the beginning?
All the male participants lost 3 pounds and up. The highest lost was 5.6 lbs by a male.

Monday: 1075 calories, House Cleaning for about 1 hour.
Tuesday: 1207 calories, no excercise

The rest of the week will be kicked into gear as far as workouts since I slacked off the first 2 days of the week.

I think mean are naturally more competative.. and probably tried to lose the max over the week.. I doubt they wil sustain those losses over the course of the contest.

Congrats on the 1.8 loss that is really well done, and spot on for healthy sustainable loss :D
