My results (no pictures), but log of blood pressure for over a year

Hi all,

I've been a long time lurker (non creepy) with hopes to have success like many others on this forum. More than just my weight loss results, I'm posting to make people aware of the benefits of weight loss; especially when it comes to blood pressure. I am not at my goal; I have 25 lbs to go but am happy I am where I am. This was a lifestyle change which is why it's been over a year to lose the weight that I lost. Unlike other diets I've tried, a healthy and realistic diet is one that I can stick with for the rest of my life. At first it was hard to keep eating healthy, but after a while it became second nature. I never deprive myself. I also added moderate and intense exercise 3-4 times a week for 30 - 40 minutes a session.

I started at 245 and am now at 205. I am 5' 10", age 28. Now, for my log. It's not very detailed, but the best part are the results of the blood pressure. Over a year ago, I was looking to go to the doctor to get a prescription for BP. I am comfortable enough where I'm at to maintain and improve without needing BP medicine. Now, high BP does run in the family, so I must monitor it, but I'm very happy for the time being I do not need to take pills.

I'm mainly posting this to show others how a 10 lbs weight loss here and there can affect BP in hopes that others not only use physical attributes as motivation, but over all health in general.
