My progress so far...

Hello Everybody!

I wrote my first post here over three years ago and while i've made some progress, it just hasn't been very timely to say the least. Well, here's an update.

I spent the better half of 2010 pigging it up to some extent and ballooning to an impressive 285lbs, as evidenced below.

So, as you can very clearly see for yourself, I stopped giving a shit. That is until I saw these pictures. I had the “oh my god, I’m fucking huge†moment. I quickly resumed to a more controlled eating pattern. I logged my food on my lose it app and I also began going back to the gym, however this time I forced myself to go to group fitness classes. Sure I was stared at, but I figured fuck it. I went to spin classes and group power (resistance training class coordinated to today’s top hits). So after about six months or so of this I lost 37lbs and hit a plateau of sorts. Well, not really a plateau I continued working out and eating healthy foods, but I was eating a lot of healthy foods, like somewhere around 2500 calories a day and I stopped logging my food, and while I have managed to maintain the weight loss, exercising and preference towards healthy food for the past year, I still have not managed to lose any more weight and I currently look like this:

So, currently I weigh 248lbs. It’s still way too big. I’m 5’8 and i think I’d be comfortable around 160ish pounds, so I have 88lbs to lose to be at my “goal weightâ€. That’s a shit ton of weight and well at the rate I’m going it’ll be a long time before I get there.

Anyways, today I officially started my 100 Day Challenge, to lose 30lbs in 100 days! I will be updating my blog daily with pictures of my meals, and my amazing thoughts in general. (LINK REMOVED)

I plan on reducing my calorie intake from around 2200 calories a day to 1200 calories a day. I also intend to exercise for 90 minutes, six days a week.

Hi and welcome, if I must say so myself, you do NOT! Look like you are anywhere near 248 pounds, when I saw the before pics and then the after, it serioiusly looks like you've lost 100 pounds! way to go on the weight loss and getting back on track, excited to see all of your progress!

Good Luck!

Thank you, i get that a lot. I'm somewhere between 5'8 and 5'9, so I suppose that's why the number's so high, well that and all the food i was eating :)

Okay, it's officially been one week, yay! Today I weigh 245lbs, that's a 3lb loss.

The past week I've been eating anywhere between 1200 -1300 calories per day and completing 90 minutes of cardiovascular exercise, per day, incorporating 30 minutes of weight training every other day.

Below is my log for each day of the past week, I photographed every meal so I know what 1200 calories "looks like". I've also included the caloric breakdown for each meal and my exercise log.

And here’s the Exercise Details from Today:[/b]

exercise.png

Elliptical Avg. HR 146 BPM

So it's been a little over halfway through the 100 Day Challenge that I started on 09/08/12

Weight: [/b]

9/08/12: 248lbs

11/01/12: 230lbs

-18lbs 55 days. That's 1lb lost every 3 days. [/b]

Exercise:[/b]

Over the past 55 days I've burned 43,774 calories[/b] through exercise alone, that's 12.5lbs![/b] Just goes to show how, in addition to eating less, crucial exercise is. I wish I knew how many buckets of sweat I've produced over the past 55 days!

Measurements: [/b]

I took my initial Measurements on 09/12/12[/b], then again on 11/01/12:[/b]

Here is a progress photo, although i don't see a huge difference, I only notice that my shirt is looser than on day one (which I think actually makes me look fatter) and maybe my legs look a tiny bit smaller. Well, you can't change completely in 55 days, it certainly will take longer than that, many many more months. I'm just going to trust in the process and I'll get there :)

halfway-progress-copy.jpg

So after 55 days[/b] I have successfully lost 18lbs[/b] and 17.25 inches[/b]. Way to go me!

OMG you look amazing! I do have to compare myself to you now lol. I was 300lbs a few years ago and I am currently at 249 today. So me and you need to team up and challenge each other to lose 30lbs in 100 days! I want to be at 200 at the beginning of May (my short term goal).

Interested? PM me if you are I need a weight loss buddy!

Congrats on 55 days of amazing progress! You look great! 43,000+ calories burned is unreal! That really makes me want to start keeping track of my calories and exercise on a regular basis. Keep up the amazing work!
