hopefully it's ok for me to post these. I haven't actually been trying to lose weight. I've been on a muscle building program. My goals have been to increase my lean muscle mass without gaining much fat. That's hard because to gain muscle the body needs loads of extra calories. I already have asuper high metabolism, so it's hard to fit in more food! It's an easy excuse to eat high calorie junk food to fit the calories in. But, that will just make me gain fat! Anyway, I've done loads of muscle building programs before, but this one was by far the most successful. I finally learned to trust myself in what I knew would work best for me (other people pay for my exercise and nutrition advice, but sometimes I can't listen to myself!) and i has paid off! I'm going to start another muscle building cycle soon, then in May I'll switch to fat loss and focusing on my cardio vascular goals.
