Project Me :)

I probably should have introduced myself in the newcomers forum, but I figured this was as good a time as any to start a journal. I came across this forum the other night and spent a solid 3 hours just reading and reading and reading... well you get the point
The brief low down on me is as follows...
I'm a 30 yr old woman who up until the age of 25, never had to think twice about weight. In fact, I was underweight up until that point ~ 100pounds at a height of 5'3". Then like the curse my mother warned me about, anything I ate after the minute I turned 25 seemed to lodge itself around my midsection and lower body
My eating habits are pretty good, I watch my fat & cals, try to get enough protein, and work fruits & veggies every chance I get. The missing element is the exercise component. To rectify this, I've joined a gym which opens in a few weeks - this is a huge step for me - I'm incredibly self concious, I absolutely hate working out in public.
Now class... I'm hoping this is a group project with lots of participation
