Hey Guys,

Thanks for clicking on this thread, it would be great to have some feedback on my fitness journey.

I'm 28 from the UK and have weighed around 210-220 lbs for most of my 20's. me and my partner are to marry next year and i'll be turning 30, so i figured that with this i would do my best to get my ideal body. i have always enjoyed food and love to cook which doesn't help me as i'm always trying out new recipes and restaurants. i also work in an office so a serious lack of activity during the day doesn't help. it would be great to meet/speak to people who have been in a similar situation and follow some of their tips to get my body fat down and my muscle mass up.

I began my journey on the 28th April 2016, i have shaved my food intake down and am enjoying healthy meals with my partner and at work trying to stick to salads and proteins. i have been working out 3-5 times a week doing HIIT and Circuit training at home using online videos. so far i have clocked a 10 lbs overall weight loss but i am unable to say exactly how much fat lost and how much muscle gained. i have been using a small supplement of creatine before my workouts and have noticed this helps me to stay focused and increasing my reps i am comfortably able to achieve. after a month i have started running (although not to great success as my re-occurring knee injury reared its ugly head, might try some strapping and run again this weekend)

Anyway that is me and the start of my story, I will continue to update this thread to show you my progress, I hope that one day i am able to offer help and support to people who are motivated to change their lives.

thanks
Larry

Hi Larry & welcome to the forum. There are others in here who could help you with specific advice re training. What I can do though is welcome you to the forum & offer support & encouragement. I think it's great that you are taking steps to become healthier. Being a good cook is a good thing. You could experiment with healthy recipes, making your own protein bars etc. I look forward to following your progress. Cheers, Cate.
