I'm 29 (30 in December) and live in the UK. I'm type-2 diabetic, 6'3" tall and about 280lbs.
I've been going to the gym 2-3 times per week for the last year and although I've seen improvements in my strength and fitness, my weight hasn't moved at all, though my body shape has changed.
I guess as I get nearer to 30 I find myself wanting to take care of myself better and I've realised that just going to the gym for an hour 3 times a week just isn't enough.
So. I plan to restrict my diet (drop to about 1500cals a day) and try to exercise 5-6 times a week.
I've registered here partly to take advantage of all the great advice, but also as a way to keep myself focused. By reading and contributing to this forum everyday I hope it'll keep my mind on the goal.
