My fat-loss-4-idiots diet plan

O yeah..and to answer your question Becka about being able to sustain this diet long term..it's not meant for that. It's only an 11 day plan meant to quicky eliminate 9lbs. It doesn't do much to promote great eating habits...but I'm throwing caution to the wind and just getting my weight down as fast as I can anyway I can. I will worry about sorting out something long term after the wedding. I know I know...that's not the way to go about it...but I'm gonna anyway.

I know it's just a wedding and it's just a day, just a dress and just some pictures..but it's very high-profile in my world..and the pics will be very editorial and want them to be beautiful. I'm no stranger to slimming down especially for a particular shoot...this is kind of like another day on the job...

BUT....in opposition to all that...I actually really like eating weird food groups one at a time. That's the New Yorker in me I guess. But even as a kid I would eat the meat on my plate...then ALL the corn, then all the potatos...I always finished the portion of whatever food it was...then moved on the the next thing. I never mix the bites and the foods never "touch" on my plate. It's not uncommon to see me eat a banana for breakfast followed by a piece of sashimi and then a whole tomato...all in a few minutes of each other. I have weird eating habits so this plan actually suits me nicely.

The problem will be when I am married and cooking ACTUAL meals for 2. I'm not alone anymore...and I have been pretty solitary my entire adult life. I have to learn not to be so compulsive and self gratifying!!

BUT for now...this diet plan rocks. I had BACON today!!
 
Haha- at the end of the day, Blair, you need to do what works for you and if this plan is it, then I'm just glad you stumbled upon it! People can preach all day long about the dos and don'ts of dieting and fitness but at the end of the day you just need to find out what works for you and your lifestyle! Considering my history, I am certainly not one to critique anyone else's eating plans!

Thanks to the information you provided, I'm definitely considering doing the Master Cleanse as some point- i just hope I have the willpower to get through it:)

one diet Barq's rootbeer
6oz can albacore tuna
2 tbsp Miracle Whip LITE
(meal plan says you can have roast beef slices as well if you want but I was not hungry for it)

ran up and down the stairs of my building 4 times.
one 1/2 hour brisk walk

10pm
one hard boiled egg
(meal plan says you can have pastrami slices as well if you want but I was not hungry for it)

64oz water throughout the day

1 cup lowfat cottage cheese
1 cup cashews

2pm
6 slices English Cheddar cheese
20 small shrimp cocktail with cocktail sauce
small bowl of red and green veggies (broccoli, red peppers and snow peas)

2 large glasses unsweetened lime iced tea
64 oz water throughout the day

4pm
hard boiled egg
(diet called for pastrami slices as well but I was not hungry enough)

I skipped my 4th meal because I was filming and really busy and simply not hungry but was supposed to be:

grilled orange roughy encrusted with parsley and walnuts

Wow you're doing fantastic on your weight loss- I'm so jealous! I'll weigh myself in the morn and continue with this 'eating plan' regardless of how much I lose until the end of the week- if I don't see any progress, I might look into your diet plan!

Sure!! That sounds great!! This plan creates custom diets and every one is different. If you want, since I have a subscription and I can create as many diets as I want for my friends and family, I can make you one. You can just circle all the foods you like, and they will generate one especially for you!

I stayed out late last night and slept until 3 day so I might not eat all 4 meals today either.

My weekend is going great! Photo shoot was good too...I can't wait to see the pics!!!

Aww- I can't wait to see the pics too- be sure to post them online!I slept until noon today and then went back to sleep from 430-730..and I'm still exhausted!

That would be awesome if you made a diet for me, even as a reference point! Let me know what the choices are for foods, etc.!

oh I'm not changing my hair yet..that will happen in the next few weeks. It was red for years, but I'm naturally dark blonde/light brown. It's been platinum for the last 2 years but I wanted to try black to shake it up. I always have liked the look of plae skin, blue eyes and black hair. But I'm tied of all the dye and work. I'm getting it dyed back as close to natural as possible and then just leaving it at that. Texture/color wise it will be a bit like what Lindsay Lohan has right now:

DAY 5
starting weight 178.2lbs / body fat 30.9%

I slept for 1/2 the day so I got a late start

3pm
fruit salad made with fresh cut up apples, pears, plums, grapes and strawberries mixed with chocolate flavored low-fat Cool Whip
Meal plan suggested oatmeal as well but I was not in the mood

6pm
8 strips broiled low sodium bacon
4 deviled egg halves (the plan suggests hardboiled eggs but you're allowed to have approved condiments so I mixed the 2 yolks with a teaspoon each of Miracle Whip and plain mustard, cayenne and fresh dill to make them more interesting

One large glass of iced tea
64oz water throughtout the day.

I ran up and down the 4 flights of stairs once. I'm too lazy today to do more than that.

9pm
The plan called for a can of tuna salad and some roast beef slices but I took the roughy out of the freezer yesterday and didn't eat it so I had that instead. I browned it in a teaspoon of olive oil, salt and pepper, then threw in the juice of a lemon, some diced onion and tomato and about 5 chopped walnuts. NOT the same thing as tuna and beef but I could not see the harm and I didn't want to waste the roughy at $22/lb. Hopefully the nuts won't throw me off. It was soooooooooooo good.

It's 2 am now and I am not hungry so I am skipping meal 4 which is supposed to be some sliced ham and skinless chicken breast...what...MORE meat???? I'm going to bed.
 
By the way, this diet is supposed to give you 1200 calories a day in order to get you to lose 9lbs in 11 days. I have been logging in every molecule on FitDay and have found that it ranges from 800 calories to 1900 calories with an average of about 1400 per day. More than the plan suggested BUT as you can see I have been steadily losing about a pound a day so it might just be working. I have not been very physically active, well..not deliberately at least. I will have more time this week, I promise.

A pound a day- that's crazy, my friend. On the plan I'm pseudo-following, I take in about the same amount of calories for two-four weeks [1280] then up the caloric intake. However, I havent lost anything yet:( So, I may be converting to your plan quite soon- what kind of foods do I choose from for your plan?

I weigh myself daily as well and I'm not pleased that I'm staying at stupid 163. For three weeks I was staying at 161 then it went up thanks to my trip and won't go back down damnit! Going to have to be even stricter..

I'll check out the site now- that would be awesome if I could create my own via your username. I just need to find something that works for me. I've tried everything and nothing seems to be working- its so discouraging! I think I have literally tried every eating and diet plan on the planet.. And I work out 5-6 days a week- PLEASE SHOOT ME:)

Speaking of shooting...how devastating is this Virginia Tech massacre? I've been near tears all day- its just so traumatic.. I feel so horrible for those students families..
 
Just checked out the website- send me the info whenever you have a chance- I'm super interested! Read some pretty incredible reviews on it... How many calories do you intake? It sounds intriguing- do you think its a 'fad diet' or something you could stick to? X

It's something I could stick to...but not everyone can. It's not meant to be long term, just to drop weight rather quicky, which it seems to be doing quite well. it's just too weird and seemingly random to be condusive to anyone but somebody screwy like myself. You get down to the weight you want, then maintain it with other methods. You can make menus with my username no prob.

Not to let everyone down...but I kinda blew it today. I was halfway there...but then I had a client meeting which threw me off the wagon. As far as caloric intake..I did a mean average a few posts ago....but if you click on my FitDay report in my signature, you can see exactly how each day breaks down. Just look at all the other days and you'll see everything.

Part of the plan is that you eat until you are not hungry..but not completely full. You are not supposed to stuff yourself. Right now I am laying on the bed...pants unzipped wondering why I ate so much. OH WELL...I have been really diligent thus far. I can't control everything!
 
DAY 6

OK..here is what the plan called for. You can eat these meals in whatever order you want as long as there is 2 1/2 hours in between them

meal 1: orange pineapple smoothie/ fresh grapefruit
meal 2: fresh grapes/bowl of baked beans
meal 3: shrimp/cheese slices
meal 4: orange roughy/walnuts/frozen yogurt

Ummmmmmmmmnot exactly how it happened. What I did was:

11am
bowl of baked beans
fresh grapes (good so far)

4:30pm
English cheddar cheese slices
diet Barq's rootbeer

7:30
6 blackened shrimp
6 boiled shrimp cocktail
steamed veggies
spinach salad with almonds/mandarin oranges/apples and balsamic vinegar
glass of pinot noir

10pm
frozen yogurt with carob chips/yogurt chips and raspberries

Not TOO bad....but I know that blackened shrimp are fattening and veggies and nuts were not on the menu today. Nor was carob or yogurt chips for that matter...but HEY! it was Pinkberries. That place rocks. Totally worth me standing out on Merose for 30 minutes waiting in line in my silver strappy Coach sandals and Pucci gown sucking my gut in. The scooper guy told me I looked really pretty and that made my night.

The yogurt there is tasty AND healthy. Each ounce only has about 25 calories and no fat!! If you haven't had it, this is NOT froyo. It's actual frozen yogurt, not "yogurt flavored" soft serve ice cream. It has that tang of cultured yogurt.
 
I'm not sure if I could do it, Blair! My appetite seems to be a bit too intense to have 'cheddar cheese' for lunch- but once you give me your username, I'll take a look- it coudlnt hurt! Scale still did not budge today despite my restricted and balanced caloric intake. Gosh darnit!

I spent most of last night and this morning watching the news. I just can't believe the casualties from the massacre yesterday. It's so tragic...

The fro-yo sounds wonderful! I'm allergic to dairy so I live for fro=yo- it's my favorite thing in the world! Have a good day! xxx

Oh, and I was supposed to have more than cheddar cheese..I just was busy and not hungry. This plan gives you ingredients you can have for each meal...and you can do whatever you want with them. If you look at the list above what I ACTUALLY ate..you'll see what my optons were. There was more than just cheese! LOL
