My fat-loss-4-idiots diet plan

I haven't heard about it

Hi,
Has anyone tried the weight loss 4 idiots diet?
I read this review of it

Personally, I never heard about this diet. The review looks interesting. I'll give it some thought, even though it seems that Want To Lose had good results with it.

What is going on?

I don't understand. First you say you're selling this diet, now you said you just bought it? Doesn't make sense

Hey Want to lose

I just finished the first 11 day cycle of this diet. I've lost 6lbs. A little less than they promised but it's still good. The review that Jasmine32 posted explains it pretty well, though they also recommend some light walking if you have time.
Overall it's very simple to follow.

Hey want to lose, how is it going with your diet? Is it still going good?

Cheat Days

Hi,

Hi,
I read the review you posted and I was wondering about the 3 cheat days in which you can eat whatever you like? Do you gain some pounds back in these 3 days? How does it work?

The same thing

Hi,
I was wondering the same thing. I'd be glad for some answers

Answer

I believe that you do gain a little weight because your off your diet, but I think it's supposed to give you some rest so you can better stick to the diet for a ling time

Done it before ... gonna try again.

I used this diet a couple of years ago and it worked for me. I also found it easy to stick to while also preparing dinner for my family. I just arranged the day so that the more 'dinner-esque' meal was at dinner time and maybe added some rice or a potato for my husband.

And shoot ... any diet where you can eat cashews and not feel guilty about it is the diet for me. :) I did very well on it. (I believe I lost 8 lbs in the 11 days). I am also a big walker, and believe that one without the other will only get you so far. (meaning dieting and exercise). And I am a big water drinker (or was until I discovered that Coke can squelch a headache. Jajaja.).

I just talked to my husband over dinner tonight about doing it with me this time. I have had a 2nd child and am irritated at how I look and disgusted at where my will power has gone. She is almost 10 months old and honestly, I should be better off than I am. I was much better after my son, so I knwo I can do it, I just need to find the motivation and tap into that dedication.

So ... tomorrow we are starting again. I'll be sure to post how we do.

(I gotta get me one of those tickers!!)

Hi Jasmine, I already asked some questions on this diet a while back. In the meantime I tried losing weight with another diet and got nowhere. I was wondering how is this diet going for you? Or have you decided to try something else?

Jasmine/4 idiots diet

Jasmine thank you and others for the posts. I was wanting to learn about this food plan as well. It sounds healthy so I wanted to confirm that before spending $47 on a book that could collect dust.

I know I am taking the risks of eggs and tomatoes thrown at me but can we discuss what we know. Thank you...kathy

Hi Kathy,
If you want to know more about this diet You should read the same review I did when I first learned about it: . It answered most of my questions, and I just saw that there are feedbacks on the bottom from people who used the diet. I'll be glad to answer any questions you have. Maybe we can compare notes :)

I've read a ton of information on this plan and I feel very confident with it. I purchased the plan today and will be starting it on Monday October 15th. I know, I know you should never put off a "diet" but my logic is that I want my 3 day rest period to fall on a specific weekend where I know I will want to make some unhealthy choices. While I am changing my eating patterns today I will engage in this program on the 15th and let you know how my results are after the first 11 day cycle. I'll probably post through out the cycle to let you know if it's tough or not. I've generated my first meal plan and it seems very doable. I am not someone who can follow a meal plan so for me to say that this plan is very doable speaks volumes to the ease and flexibility of it. Plus, you are eating foods you like! Even if I don't lose 9lbs in 11 days, I will be happy with whatever result I achieve.

It worked...

Hi Y'all,

I used this plan a year ago and I lost 6lbs within their timeframe.
After day 1 , if you are used to eating a moderate amount of food, you might feel a bit hungry but that will pass because your body gets used to 4 meals -a-day routine.

However, I must add that I did 3 x 30 mins of an Aerobic Workout DVD(Moderate) during that time.

It is good for a quick fix i.e going on holiday, going to a party but, as a long term plan I'm not so sure.

Hope that helps! :)

Wow, a lot of people hooked on the 'program mentality' in this thread.

It's ashame.

I think we've had this conversation before, but it bears repeating sometimes - to help understand some mindsets and to help get out of some mindsets.

When you're looking to lose weight, and you swear "you've tried everything and nothing works" and a program comes along and says - "just do this" and you'll be successful... it's easy to buy into it... and to buy it - Cripes I had a bookshelf full of such wonder programs...

A program is supposed to m ake it easy and put no thought into it -just eat A, B, and C and you'll lose weight... Sometimes a person doesn't want to think - which is why people do well on programs like Nutrisysytem do well at least initially...

A program is sometimes a good place to start as long as the person on the program is learning why they are doing something - and not just doing it because tehy're told to...

Obviously.

But that doesn't say much about people's program mentality. Questions like "does this program work" is what I take issue with.

Any and eveything works.

i don't disagree - any program will work as long as a person uses it - it just has to be used...and nothing is really magic...
