muscle overload

hello
i've been wondering whether or not doing push up exercises everyday (60-70)
could do any damage or can be a cause of infections or muscle problems. I know that u'r supposed 2 give the muscles a day rest after exercise but i'm only doing pushups...is there a problem with that?
i'm 23.

You can do WAY more push-ups than THAT everyday, trust me. You won't hurt yourself unless you always go to failure. Try and only do this once a week at most. The rest of the time you will only be becomming more studly
