Today I start the journey to a new me. Still not sure about my diet but I have started a workout with a personal trainer at the local gym. This girl is amazing..no matter how much I struggled she was there to cheer me on...just the type of person I need.

Day 1 - May 17th 2008 - 348 pounds.
Treadmill - 2.5mph Incline 1.0 - 25 minutes, 246 calories burned and 1.3 miles walked.
Worked on my arms and upper body today and worked on stretching my back out since I have been having severe back pain. No workout tomorrow, need to recover...but definitely back on Monday and Tuesday I meet with my trainer to work on my lower body. GO ME!!!

Day 1 food:
2 granola bars
ft long sweet onion chicken teryaki sub from subway
twizzlers

3 bottles of water and 1 diet soda

Weight on morning of day 2: 345
Down 3 pounds - all water weight. let it keep falling off!!

Day 6
I've lost a total of 4 pounds this week.
Worked out 3 days this week - cardio everyday for 30 mins and then lower and upper body with my trainer.

I entered into the Biggest Loser challenge at the gym... it's 8 weeks and the person that loses the most amount of weight between 1st and last day wins $500. 2nd place is $100. I don't even really care but I'd looove that money LOL.

Hi sweetie :). Welcome to the forum! Be careful about those restrictive diets that then turn into binges and re-gain of weight. I suggest you try to eat at least 3 nutritious meals rather than 1 sandwich and a few empty snacks. Hope you dont mind me throwing in my opinion, but I dont want you to crash and burn ya know? Many people who start on the forum believe you must eat very little to lose weight, not realizing that they can eat far more food than they thought and the weight will still come off..and more permanently (that being the important point). Diets where you eat enough are sustainable and carry you through to your goals and beyond. Then again, maybe you just had an off day and didn't get enough in..I know I'll have the days with my Junior Mints and Peppermint Patties HAHA.

Hey there,
I saw on the Ohio thread that you mentioned Wilson Rd. Do you live in Hilliard? I just graduated from Davidson.

I am actually in Galloway now - I moved about 7 months ago... and I haven't been on here in awhile as you can see.

A few things have changed since the last time I was on here. Obviously the workouts didn't continue - and back to the crappy eating habits... but I have started somewhere and am quite proud of where I have gone so far.

I no longer look at "5 years ago I lost 80 pounds." I know I have to start something new and look toward the future - instead of dwelling on the past. About three months ago I kicked regular soda. I now drink Coke Zero or Diet Pepsi. I cut out a few inches and went down a size in jeans. WOW did it feel good to get a new pair of jeans in a size smaller. I had two shirts that I had bought because I thought they were the right size, but alas they were too small. I can wear those now since I cut out those few inches. I am ready to keep on losing those inches, but trying to figure out the best way to do it.

I did Atkins for 8 months before... however, the past two times I've tried it it has made me very weak and sick due to the lack of sugar and carbs. I have decided to give up fast food now, except perhaps Subway seeing how it's much healthier than a quarter pounder and some french fries. Next it will be counting calories. I have to start small or I will just give up completely. I know myself too well.

Not sure when we will be going back to the gym. I am so lazy!! And out of shape too....ugh hopefully I can get a routine back soon :)
