milk

hi i need some help see i think i can use milk as a supplement since i can't seem to buy one but i want to use it to get the protein i need i was trying to lose weight but that's to dangerus (sorry about the spelling) at 13 but if i drink like a gallon a day and i can i've done it before many times i really like milk i know i won't get a gallon of water in me but i heare milk is 90% water so it would not matter right. and since milk is casin protein dose that mean it is not as good or what so please help thanks
 
actually casein is better in most situations than whey, you get a much better result in the end, whey is great for post workout otherwise casein will beat it in every other field. Im not sure what your asking but a gallon a day would be great for bulking, and you can get most of you water that way too.
 
one gallon of skim milk has 1384 calories 192g of carbs and 134g of protein.

hardly a perfect source for all of your protein...you'd basically only get to eat veggies and Fiber one for the rest of your daily carb intake. You'll be hungry all the time.
 
whey is best after work outs because it gets absorbed by the body faster than any other kind of protein, where as casein stays with you a long time, and gives your bdoy a long lasting supply of protein.
 
yea.. about 20% of the protein in milk is whey and the rest is casein
the only other food with whey are protein bars.
 
I have Body Fortress Whey 2LBS powder (30 scoops) from walmart = 12$. 19g protein per scoop. GREAT after workout drnik with water cuz of the fast absorbance.
 
@ Grammaton & Come2Me-> Aight thanks guys. What protein shake do you guys use or what protein shake do u recommend for a 15 year old ;)

@Chazz-> How long does it last you? Cuz my old shake I took it 3 times a day, and 30 scoops would mean it would last 10 days!
