Alright,

I started two weeks ago, restricting my calorie intake to roughly 1500 a day, and working out (I intended it to be an hour 5 days a week in the gym, but I've not been very good on that recently).

I was 193 pounds 2 weeks ago... I'm now 190. I'm pleased to see just that little weight drop, and I don't know if it's physchosematic or not but I already think my man-boobs have dropped a couple of bra sizes.

Awesome!!! Results are always exciting. Congrats and... it sounds like you're off to a great start.
You're in a great place too. There are lots of really nice people here who will help you and support you.
Good luck and welcome!

Hi Mike! Welcome and good luck!

How tall are you and how old are you (may I ask?) Just curious about the calorie intake and the final weight goal.

Is exercise or weight training a part of your plan?

Hi Patty,

I'm 22 and a short-arse 5 foot 6.5, but naturally well-built for my height, so my target goal of 155 pounds will put my BMI at exactly 25, the upper end of the "healthy weight" for my height.

I'm trying to get to the gym a few times a week. I haven't done any weight training yet - just cardio, 10 minutes on the treadmill, 10 on the bike and 10 on the cross-trainer. I hear weights can help increase metabolism and aid weightloss, so I might drop some weights into my routine when I go to the gym.

Cutting out alcohol seems to be helping too - the one time I've had a pint in the last two weeks I budgeted for it in my calorie counter, so that's all fine and dandy.

I've been keeping a spreadsheet charting what I'm eating. After today, I'll post it here too.
