Metabolism

i was reading upon how your metabolism works, the benifites of increased metabolism, etc. but im still confused on how to increase your metabolism safely. I heard swimming and row is great, also running at 80% heart rate for 15-30 mins. but i also heard that running at 80% heart rate can be every dangeous especially for a beginner. so wat ways can i increase my metabolism safely and wat exactly does 80% heart rate mean.

Just use common sense don't push yourself too much. I don't bother using heart monitors i just work.

There's many ways to increase metabolism
- eat more frequently
- build muscle mass
- eat protein with every meal
- excercise

Any form of exercise, obviously don't attempt to run a marathon tomorrow, but get going somehow, even if it's walking. Eventually it'll get easier, you can jog a little, jog more, jog/run consistently for some time. I'm sure you get the picture

If you are looking for a heartrate to do cardio to 80% is quite high to maintain for that duration. There is a good chance that depending on your fitness level that 80% could be your anaerobic level which means theoretically you could only hold that heartrate for 30 seconds.
To build your aerobic base so you can start doing HIIT and more intense cardio workouts you want to hold your heartrate between 65-70% for that 30 minute workout. Still try to add in intervals in your workout and vary resistance and intensity but hold that 65-70% heartrate.
