So I need some support to call a gym.
There's a Curves that I pass each day to and from work. I love being and feeling athletic and previously was very in shape. So I've been trying to call Curves and see about the memberships there. Only I have made up almost every excuse in the book to avoid calling. I've even decided that Curves isnt bad-ass enough for me.
I need to just do it.

Hi Melischick

I go to a Curves and its the best "gym" ever, if you can call it a gym. It's more like a second home in which I just happen to workout at. The people are friendly, the music is great to workout to, and everyone is sooo supportive and motivating. It will have you feeling great for only 30 minutes.

It was hard for me to call at first, but even the phone call motivated me. They sound so nice and supportive, its an amazing place.

I've been there since October, but I also worked out there in 2004.

Also, Curves is as bad-ass as you make it. You workout to your own pace meaning that you can go extremely easy on yourself or you can maximize the experience until you feel literally exhausted from the workout. You can go as hard and as fast as you want.

I hope you call!!!! Just pick up the phone and go down there!!! It will be a great decision. Welcome to the forums. :D Welcome to your diary!

:) Thanks for the support!! It really means so much :)

Im headed to Curves...I write and let everyone know how it goes!

So I went to Curves....

and another gym, just so I could compare. The atmosphere at Curves is definitely inviting. The women were so nice and it seems very friendly. I also like that it's cheaper than a more traditional gym.

However, I still have some reservations. First, there was a 30 year age difference between me and everyone else at the gym. Im 26 and Im wondering if the program is designed for older women who are less capable. Therefore, would it be less effective??
I am also concerned that it would get a little boring, doing the same set of things over and over.

Anway, if anyone else has ideas or opinions about Curves or other gyms I'd love to hear it!!!
