The question is how would I set "reducing calorie density" as an actionable goal without directly counting calories?Reducing the calorie density while keeping the amount of food the same (probably more fruit and veg, less fat and refined carbs) would also lead to weightloss but with less hunger.
Good for you, congrats!241 lbs / 109 kg
It might be easier to just count calories. You can probably eat more food on a weight basis than you eat now and lose more weight if you set a calorie goal. I eat a lot of lettuce and broccoli, both of which are very low calorie density but still fill me up. You could try something similar. When I started this diet the sound of lettuce without any dressing sounded awful, I have learned to like it.The question is how would I set "reducing calorie density" as an actionable goal without directly counting calories?
Apples are good!we did buy a bunch of apples for this week
I'll definitely share it here when it's readyNow I'm all curious about your new plan!
I would love to see what veggies or fruit you add. I'll make sure to tell him. I told him you when you had an apple![]()
I do like broccoli and carrots, I'll try to work some in to the meals next week...240.6!
I'm (in theory) totally against being fixated on the numbers on the scale, but they are great motivators.Re: veg - I'm voting for broccoli! (Though... I don't know... carrots are pretty good, too!)
Good for you! And apples are good also.I do like broccoli and carrots, I'll try to work some in to the meals next week...
This is exciting! I love your attitude MDVery excited at the prospect of reaching my weight goals this year. If all goes well, I should be down to my pre-move weight by April, and down to a 10 year low by August!
Looking further ahead, December would get me within 6 pounds of my final goal, and 2021 would be about very very gradually reaching that goal and maintaining![]()
