Maybe this time??

Yep.. maybe this time! I do have some motivation though. I have not seen my family in the UK in 8 years and I am due to go back there early this year. I have always been the 115lber skinny one of the family.. well not anymore. I am a shocking 177lbs today. So "maybe this time" I can actually do it after many 2 day false starts!

I am 34, mom to 4 kids. 17yr old and 13yr old girls, 10 yr old boy and a huge surprise in the form of a 10 mth old baby girl!

Needless to say, the surprise pregnancy later on in my life after I thought I was done with kids gave me a great excuse to pack on the pounds.. and now I actually weigh the exact same as I did the day after I gave birth, not exactly where I want to be!

My goal weight is 125lbs, so a whopping 50 or so to shed.

I know where it comes from, I can eat enough food in one sitting to feed my whole family, and some more. Plus I snack all day long. I am now a SAHM, so making a dent in the sofa with my butt all day long is very easy to do and a hard habit to break.

Ok, so.. here we go!

I don't do breakfast, at least for now. Can't face it, never have been able to. Maybe I can find a good shake or something to make up for it.

Lunch - a grilled chicken breast with brocc.
Mid afternoon - small bowl of Rice Krispies with a touch of 2% milk, 2 slices of wheat bread with half a cheese triangle thingie.

Sometimes I will nap mid afternoon when the baby goes to sleep and whenever I wake I am hungry like a beast, I have to try and break that habit.

I also ran for 10 minutes, which I realised was a little much for me. 10 minutes with half the way totally uphill, plus a stroller, plus dragging the poor dog.. what a sight I must have looked!

I think tomorrow I will do twice the distance but at a fast walk until I feel I can run without dying.

I planned on going for a fast walk this afternonn but have had a raging headache since my near death run this morning.

I plan curry for dinner. Chicken, curry sauce and rice. I will keep my portion of rice very small, lots of chicken with just a touch of sauce.

welcome to the site and to your diary..

I wuold suggest keeping a food diary at or one of the 100s of free sites on the web to keep track of calories and other nutrients... the one thing that stands ot in your meals is it's extremely low in fiber.. fiber will help keep you full and keeps your digestive system moving...

You might want to switch out rice krispies for something a little more nutritious...

enjoy your stay :D

I actually have Fitday from one of my many false starts!

I will start using it again for sure.

Rice Krispies, uh-huh, I hear ya! In my feeble defense it was my 'just woke up and running to the kitchen to eat' moment and that was the first non chocolate, pure fat product I came across!
